Ascot & Cranbourne Pre-School

A lovely nurturing preschool. My son has been there for 2 years and he has been well prepared for his next step to Primary School. He always enjoys going and they do a very varied range of activities every day.

I was very anxious about my child starting pre-school but feel so lucky to have found Hannah and her team. They really take the time to get to know their children and understand them, which as a parent means a lot. They build beautiful relationships there and my child often tells me how he loves his pre-school teachers!They are a very well organised team, they have great routines in place which help prepare for school and they also do really lovely activities as part of the pre-school day - you can tell a lot of thought goes into them. They are great at communicating and very supportive and have helped my son progress so much. I feel like he is in very safe hands there and is also having lots of fun learning and playing which is all you can ask for really!

Such a wonderful preschool, the staff go above and beyond every step of the way. Lovely activities every day and themes each term. Supported both my son and our family throughout the process of getting my sons diagnosis of ASD, I really cannot rate this hidden gem of a preschool any more highly. We truly have had the best start to school life here

I cannot rate this pre-school more highly. They simply go above and beyond for the children. They’ve done one on one sessions with my child, which has developed her speech from a handful of words to full sentences. She doesn’t stop talking now! My daughter has never cried going to pre-school and simply loves it. They do such a variety of activities everyday. I truly believe there isn’t a better pre-school in the area. And it’s such a good price!

Very short and disappointing experience there.

An exceptional pre-school! Ascot and Cranbourne has the most wonderfully caring teachers and is in a beautiful, peaceful setting; with the pre-school garden backing onto the school playing fields. We feel very fortunate, that our daughter has had such an incredible start to her learning journey, and are so grateful to Mrs Hannah and the team for the past few years. The dedication and care they have shown to our daughter’s learning journey and development, has been incredible. The pre school is an absolute gem!

A hidden gem!Ascot & Cranbourne Pre-School is a lovely, well-run pre-school that offers fun, engaging learning and play. Many people mistakenly think that the pre-school is a feeder to the main school (Cranbourne) because it is located on the same site. Although a lot of children from the pre-school do go on to attend Cranbourne Primary School, many also go on to attend neighbouring primary schools, and the pre-school is actually a charity run independently from Cranbourne Primary School. Also being a charity I think that may be why its fees are cheaper than other pre-schools so a bonus to parents.One thing that really stands the pre-school out from other pre-schools is the staff there. All of them are parents and have been there a long time and seem to be friends, which to me implies they are experienced with children and are happy there. (I've experienced other pre-schools where staff were leaving all of the time due to internal politics and there was a awful negative atmosphere in the air which wasn't healthy for the children). Also the manager runs a very tight ship, being quick to resolve any problems that arise. In addition she used to be a primary school teacher so she has a good understanding on how to best prepare the children for primary school. I found there to be structure, routine and consistency to the care provided there which I felt my child really benefitted from.Another thing to highlight is that it was rated Outstanding" in its last OFSTED review

Wonderful Pre School that genuinely have all the children’s needs and best interests at heart. They have worked wonders for my little one with one to one sessions and additional support. He thoroughly enjoys being there and has very special relationships with each teacher individually.I would highly recommend the setting and teachers to anyone.

Ascot & Cranbourne is most amazing pre school. We have had the most wonderful experience here - the children have loved every minute of the last 5 years. I’ve had three children go through the school starting in 2018 and my youngest still has a year to go. Hannah and the team have been so fantastic with all three and have created the most lovely, happy, warm environment for all of the children at the pre school to flourish and be cared for in a very safe, colourful, exciting and enriching environment with a wonderful outside space for them to play in too.The staff are so caring and work so hard. They have the most amazing ability not only to see the best in every child but also to bring out the best in every child that comes through their doors. They put on a really exciting and varied curriculum with termly themes that gives the children interesting activities to help them learn through play and combines structure with enough flexibility to suit what fits best with an individual child’s needs. There’s something for everyone in music, dance, play, numeracy, literacy, science experiments, story telling, outside play with different materials and water just to name a few of the things my children have had the good fortune to be able to get involved in.They have been wonderfully flexible and also so supportive with all of their families, helping me and listening to my concerns about the decision to go back to work after 5 years off when my youngest was 2, which helped so much, especially the anxiety I felt around that and how it was going to work. Without Hannah and the team to care for my children in the way they have, it wouldn’t have been possible for me to do that.Hannah and the team all deserve medals for their dedication and work ethic and how much time, energy and emotion that they put into this incredible school. It has been rated outstanding time and again for good reason and it is hugely deserved as it is such a brilliant pre school. I only wish we’d found it sooner! I could go on and on but I highly, highly recommend Ascot & Cranbourne for your children.The pre school has given all three of my children the most amazing start in life for which I will be eternally grateful. Thank you to all the wonderful staff at the pre school for really loving my children like I do, always being kind and patient and seeing the very best in them even when their behaviour might be tricky, and not least for being a second family for them. My older two who have now left still talk happily about lovely pre school memories and I had my 5 year old crying the other day because she missed her pre school teachers so much - she was saying how lovely they are and how happy she was there. Thank you so much Hannah and the team, we love you!
