Smallthorne Oatcakes
Bought a dozen to try out at home. Not quite as big as ‘normal’ oatcakes which made them difficult to roll when fully loaded but really nice texture and flavour and good thickness which means they’re better at soaking up the natural ‘juices’ of cooked cheese and so they don’t fall apart or seem too greasy. May well become my ‘go to’ place, especially as they are open later in the day than most and service came with a smile and good conversation.

Finished it with a very burnt taste in the mouth afterwards. Not an enjoyable breakfast unfortunately
