Guitar lessons-Maidenhead guitar tuition

Dave is teaching guitar to my two boys who are 8 and 11 years old. He is exteemely patient and engaging with them. He motivates them to learn by finding songs they like and want to learn how to play. Importantly the boys enjoy the session. I would have no problems in recommending Dave.

Dave is a great teacher. He’s imparted theory and playing technique in a patient, friendly manner, with accompanying material. My guitar playing has improved noticeably in the few weeks I have been taking lessons. Highly recommended.

Dave is an excellent teacher!He is very knowledgeable, friendly, patient, and encouraging.I’ve made progress a lot more quickly than I thought I would.Dave’s calm and - importantly - student-centric approach meant that we were going at the perfect pace for me and following my agenda.Face-to-face is always my preference for music lessons, as opposed to Zoom, and Dave delivers. It’s a relaxed and professional learning environment.

My 11 yr old son has been taken lessons here & what a fantastic decision, we as parents are really pleased with the patience Dave has with teaching youngsters, so accommodating & value for money, my son has learnt so much from Dave & I have no worries that this will continue, my son comes out of every lesson full of himself & wanting to learn more, I highly recommend his teaching methods, Dave has a real passion for what he is teaching. My sons words when his lesson had finished one day was “ my teacher is really nice, if I do it wrong on the guitar, he doesn’t keep me doing it until I get it right, he says I will get it eventually” this means a lot as a parent as he doesn’t feel pressured to always get it right, so it’s fun as well as learning his guitar. Happy son, happy parents.

As a complete guitar beginner, I was rather apprehensive but needn’t have been. Dave is a superb teacher. Encouraging, very knowledgeable, professional. I’m really enjoying my lessons and make progress every week. Highly recommend.

Being one of those people who opted to learn something new during lockdown only using YouTube and my son taking GCSE music, we were in some serious need of lessons. We were incredibly fortune to find Dave @ Maidenhead guitar. Dave has been fantastic in not only unpicking my self taught bad habits and teaching me new skills, but he's also getting my son up to speed with not only his grades but also his GCSE music. Dave has been very accommodating, and happy to teach us a variety of songs and styles. His enthusiasm is so infections and we can't wait for our lessons each week. I really can't rate Dave highly enough, whatever stage your at with guitar, no matter what your age or style, if your thinking of lessons then get in touch with him.

My 9 year old son has been doing lessons in person with Dave for nearly a year now, and looks forward to his lesson every week. He’s making great progress since transferring from pure virtual lessons. As Dave has kids himself, I think he really knows how to put the fun element into the lessons whilst getting the results. Dave is always very flexible if you can’t make a lesson or are away on holiday and is always happy to do a zoom lesson if you can’t make it to him. Highly recommended, the trouble is, he’s so popular you might have a problem getting a slot! I can see my son continuing for quite some time !

I first learnt a bit of guitar in my teens, haphazardly from friends and three teachers in quick succession. I ended up with a mish-mash of bits of songs but never really felt like I mastered any skill or understood any theory. I gave it up for almost 20 years until just over a year ago when I decided to try lessons again. Dave is a fantastic teacher, really enthusiastic and supportive, and knows how to get the best out of me and how to keep it fun. My time is sometimes short, so I don’t practice as much as I should, but Dave doesn’t judge and I look forward to my lessons. He has slowly corrected all the bad habits I had acquired, and taught me more theory and proper skill than I ever learned previously. I’ve loved getting back into it, and I know that my understanding of music theory and my playing have both come on a long way. It’s been really lovely as an adult to rediscover the joy of tinkering about with my guitar, and I would whole-heartedly recommend anyone interested to have lessons with Dave.
