Allan Veterinary Surgery

I wish to thank Allan vets for the care and compassion shown the past two weeks for my Ragdoll Cat Sassi.She become suddenly unwell and the support given by vet/nurse outstanding and professional.Lastnight she was put to sleep which was the kindest thing for her. I'm distraught but know with the professional advice given and my own the correct thing for her. Her QOL was so very very poor.Thank you all once again for everything you done at this sad time for me. The respectfulness and compassion outstanding.Julie Clark.

Caring, sensible pricing, no over selling of treatments, and honest. Without doubt the best vets in the area. For the years we have been using them with Blue, and sadly today at our boy being put to sleep, treated fantastically well, with sincerity and compassion. Thank you for all you have done.

The staff at the clinic is helpful and understanding, and they get along with the patients very well. The interiors are big and ready to accommodate a reasonable number of visitors while on the outside its supported by a big parking space. My go-to place for the next visit.

I have been taking my dogs to Allan Vets for many many many many years. They are an amazingly great advert for a caring, and compassionate Vet Practice. All Staff are wonderful, from the staff at Reception, to the Vet Nurses, and finally to the Vets themselves. Over many years, Vet Gillian Cardno has cared for/operated on, or sent my dogs on their final journey over the Rainbow Bridge too - we have cried together at this time, she is so very kind and caring. I have had some dealings, to a much lesser extent, with Vet Hazel McLaren too, and can only say she is also 100 % top notch too. Thank you to all at Allan Vets.

Entirely money orientated. I am disgusted that they have refused to give me a REPEAT prescription for painkillers for my dog. She is an old girl on her last legs and needs her pain controlled. They said she has to attend an appointment for a review as it's been 6 months. This is fair enough but they couldn't give me an appointment for 5 days and in the meantime she will need to suffer. Despite explaining this they refused to help. This is appalling treatment and certainly not the professional or caring company they present as. I will be taking my old girl elsewhere from now on.*In response to the reply. What absolute rubbish. Called on the Thursday! Also, you know fine well she would be in pain if she didn't have any pain relief! What did you think it just disappears? You only want money to assess" an old girl who's condition was stable as advised. You should have prescribed the pain relief as a matter of urgency. This is the SECOND time you have done this to her! This is something you as a vet are accountable for. Considering contacting the Royal College of Veterinary surgeons as this practice is not acceptable. You were TOLD she was in PAIN! Found a much better vet elsewhere who also expressed concern.Please share the recorded call! That will confirm it all!"
