at least you get a charge, however like most energy companies, the price per kWh is astronomical... 0.75 not the most but close... at home it's anything from 5 to 16p, government won't step in as it's afraid of those big bad energy boys... a new fuel, a new big energy idiot...

Never had a problem with this station. The price seems about £10 less for a full charge compared with the other charges at the service area. No faff, contactless payment, plug and play hassle free. Starbucks, KFC, Golden Arches or even a pint at the pub all available whilst plugged in. Gregs and subway at the spar too. Defo recommend as an EV charging break.

Used this charger on Saturday 18th February. Much slower than on previous visits but as we needed to be fully charged to continue a long journey, I stuck with it. Really annoyed this morning to find a penalty charge from a faceless parking company. I appreciate the app says parking charges may apply, but surely a clearer statement on the app or charger relating to the time restriction would be a more customer centric approach?As a warning to everyone else, please check how long you’re allowed to stay here, even if you’re paying (handsomely) to use InstaVolt’s services throughout your stay!

This charging station would appear to be sharing 55/60kW across the charger units here. When additional cars are connected, the rate of charge dropped. So you are paying a premium for fast" charging

Poor charging performance, just 25kw on a 125kw charger for 75p per kw!! Vehicle is capable of charging at 150kw. Gave up after 12 minutes. Would not use again.

It worked, which is always a bonus with EV chargers. It only charged at similar rate to a 50kwh charger, I'm not sure if it was the charger or the car slowing things down.

Charged last night (22.03.23) on Way 1 and it was only pushing out 28 kWh. I thought it was just starting off slow and would build up in speed but no. When I came back from the McDonald’s I was annoyed to find it still only at 28 kWh after 1 hour. The second charger was out of order. So wasn’t happy with paying 75p per KWh at this speed.

Paid for rapid charging but it certainly wasn't.Charged at approximately 1 mile per minute. Phoned up Instavolt and they said there might be strain on the National Grid, which is a paltry answer. Person next to me experiencing the same too so I know it wasn't my car.It's so frustrating; I just want to be able to go to a charging point and it not be out of order (like the Instavolt in Hinckley) and for it just to work.

Easy charge, only EV there at lunchtime on Monday. Good options for food, drink and toilets but need to check opening times if planning to go there overnight, as some facilities look like they close at 22.00hrs (KFC etc)

Fantastic, easy to use charging point. Seems to be much better than the Osprey chargers in the nearby pub. My major complaint is the price of the power. I can understand paying a premium to use these points, but paying more than twice the cost of the equivalent power from my wall socket is just ripping off the consumer. The difference in price between home and rapid charging didn't used to be this big. This is not a particular dig at Instavolt but all the big providers. They're getting as bad as the oil companies rinsing ordinary people for every penny they can get away with. Electricity from rapids is as expensive if not more than petrol these days!
