Haggis Adventures provided us with a wonderful experience. We were able to cover so much of Scotland in such a little time. I loved the stories and commentary provided to us by our wonderful bus driver Rich. I felt so connected to Scotland as he explained many stories and details connected with each place we went. Rich new exactly what to do and what to see, even when weather would change our plans. I highly recommend traveling with Haggis Adventure and could not recommend it more.

We did the 3 day Skye High Tour". Long story short for my 2 star rating: It wasn't what we expected. We wanted to have a younger and more adventurous group

The three day tour of the Highlands and Isle of Skye is a brilliant holiday! It's full on visiting some of the most beautiful scenery. Some highlights are Denkeld, Loch Ness, Eilean Donal Castle. On Skye, Dunvegan Castle and gardens, black houses, the grave of Flora Macdonald, Staffin and Kilt Rock, the Old Man of Storr. Back via the ferry to Mallaig, Jacobite train to Fort William over the Glenfinnan Viaduct, then back to Edinburgh via Glencoe, past the Kelpies and Stirling Castle. If you are really lucky you'll get the best tour guide and driver Steve. He made the tour fun and interesting by giving insight and history at all the places visited. The best 3 day tour out there!

Went on the Harry Potter and the Highlands tour and it was brilliant; it felt like we covered a lot of area in one day (without feeling too rushed), and all of the sights/places were great. Would definitely recommend! We went on August 21, and our tour guide was great - her interesting information/stories definitely added to it.

I did the 6-day Isle of Skye and Hebridean Hopper tour. This was definitely a five star tour from the places you go, the quality of the guide and bus, and and the memories you make. I had a really great time! But, there were a few major reasons I had to bring my rating down to four stars.Because it contextualizes some of the pros, I’ll start with what I felt was the biggest con: how our Haggis Adventures tour was combined with the Highland Explorers tour, and how this was not communicated clearly to us in advance. While they are the same company, Haggis Adventures is marketed to ages 18-35, and Highland is all ages but attracts an older demographic who can afford perks such as as nicer hotels, etc. Of course I love travelling with folks of all ages, and really enjoyed getting to know everyone on my trip. However, a big reason I booked the Haggis trip as advertised was to meet other young, solo travellers, which was not the case as 75% of the group was from Highland - there were only 4 people younger than 35 on our tour, and only 6 of us out of 21 in the hostels. The combining of the two trips was not clear from the website or subsequent emails, so this was a complete surprise. I also felt that a tour with a mostly young group would be a bit more active and adventurous (as in the name), but without the flexibility of our amazing guide it would have been way too much sitting in a bus for me. I wouldn’t have cancelled my trip if I was told about the Highland/Haggis combination in advance - I just wish I would have been aware of this, instead of being worried about what that meant for my travels after spending a fair bit of money on the Haggis tour as advertised. That being said, our guide Connor was amazing at bridging the gap between those who wanted a more relaxed bus tour with those wanting an adventurous active tour. He was funny and educational, found stops with something for everyone, and gave us some flexibility on certain days to do our own thing and coordinated pickups and communication like a pro. He was extremely friendly and kindhearted, and really went above and beyond to ensure we had a great time. The stops were beautiful, and it’s a fantastic way to see some off the beaten track places in Scotland. A nice balance of nature, ocean, history, and towns. I have some legendary pictures of white sand beaches and craggy mountains. Don’t miss the Jacobite Steam Train - even if you’re not a Harry Potter fan, it’s a beautiful ride! Most of the hostels were great, especially in Stornoway. The major exception was the Portree Independent Hostel on Skye. We dreaded going back there each night, and genuinely considered booking a hotel room. Haggis - if possible, I would offer folks the option to book a B&B or Inn here. If you’re a traveller, consider requesting a hotel if you can afford it.All in all, it was a very memorable trip with spectacular sights and a fantastic guide and group. The cons definitely didn’t make it a bad experience - just things that I feel could be improved to make it a 5 star tour all around.

haggis adventures was indeed wild and sexy!!!! i had the time of my life on this trip. steve was my driver, and he was wonderful. my favorite part was how flexible the things we did were. we were encouraged to do whatever we were comfortable with, so everyone was able to have a fantastic time! i recommend taking their recommendations though, and pushing yourself to hike something you didn’t think you could. there are always more beautiful views to be found! steve was also an incredible storyteller.

I cannot say enough good things about this tour! We took the 3 day Skye High tour through the highlands which left from (and returned to) the Haggis offices on the Royal Mile in Edinburgh. Our tour guide, Calum, accompanied by his merry team, Fiona, Holly, and Jonathon, gave exciting stories and trivia facts about the places we were passing and stopping by. Scotland is gorgeous and full of such rich history! The tour was all inclusive except for food and lodging (you can pay for lodging while booking). The price was perfect! We stopped at many quick stops for photos and longer stops to explore some of the beautiful scenery and attractions Scotland has to offer. We rode on a 30+ person Mercedes coach bus, which was clean and comfortable, even through the windy roads in the highlands. But! But but but! I need to mention how fantastic the entire team was while my now fiance and I got engaged! Calum went out of his way to be sure that we had all kinds of souvenirs from our trip. All in all, a wonderful tour and well worth the money to make new friends, share experiences, and not have to worry about planning or missing any part of exploring the highlands!

I went on the Highland Fling Tour in September 2021 (Covid restrictions in place). The trip was run in conjunction with Highland Explorer Tours, but I booked through Haggis and stayed in hostels. Our guide Tom was incredible. Due to the combination of two companies, the group was very varied, and Tom did a great job of meeting all of our needs. Although the attractions/stops weren't as in depth as I've done on other tours, I still feel like I've been immersed in the culture and history of Scotland thanks to Tom and his stories of history and folklore and his Scottish playlist . You could tell he was super passionate about Scotland and his job, and he had a great sense of humour. The hostels were good. The last one looked awful from the outside, but don't panic when you pull up - inside was great! The first hostel had cold showers, but did give us breakfast and the staff were very friendly. The second hostel was ok because Covid restrictions meant only one group per room - however had it been full there would have been one shower and toilet for about 10 people, which I don't think would have been adequate. The parts of Scotland we saw were stunning. You do cover a lot of ground, so don't expect full days out exploring attractions. However, I felt the trip was well-paced. We never drove for more than 2 hours without a stop, and the stops were between half an hour and two hours. We also had nice full evenings for dinner and exploring. For me the Jacobite train and the Loch Ness Cruise were highlights, so I would recommend adding those extras. The bus was comfortable, but don't plan to sleep on the coach - you will miss some stunning scenery and great tales. Treat the driving as part of the trip, not just a practicality.Being picked up and dropped off in Edinburgh was also ideal, as I booked hotels either side of the trip to see a bit of Edinburgh too.I would highly recommend this trip, and if you get Tom as your guide you've hit the jackpot!

It was my first time going on an organised tour and I was a little worried I wouldn't like it but these were an incredible 8 days! We saw a huge amount of incredible sights at a fast, but really enjoyable pace. Thank you Tom for being such a remarkable guide! I particularly enjoyed the folk stories around the Cuillin, the old man of Storr, and the ferry pools.Would recommend to anyone!
