I have a BMW 320d (E93), that unfortunately I was unaware (albeit naively), are prone to timing chain failure. I have only owned the car 11 months, and it has been looked after so well, full service history, with the exception of the infamous timing chain (That the garage I purchased it from weren't forthcoming in telling me this was due!). Blissfully unaware driving along the A38 one Saturday morning , the chain went on my car, and I had to arrange on the slipway of the dual carriageway for the RAC to recover me to.a garage of my choice. Being that it was now Saturday lunch time, and most garages were closing, I was panicked on where to take it. I briefly flicked through Google for garage recommendations for BMW specialists, and began to ring through. The first few garages I contacted seemed very reluctant to take the job on, and one even suggested that the cost of repairs wouldn't be worth it. As you can imagine I was gutted. I searched further and came across Specialist Vehicles, so phoned them (by now expecting the same reply), Phil answered the call and was extremely reassuring. He said to get the tow to take me straight there, and they would contact me on the Monday. We did so, and true to his word, first thing on Monday Phil contacted me, and talked me through the likely repairs required, and booked me in at the nearest opportunity. Taking into consideration I was now without a vehicle, the team endeavoured to get me seen to promptly. Specialist Vehicles are blessed to have former BMW master tech Scott amongst their team. Scott has tackled these timing chains as much as most mechanics have an oil and filter change. He assessed exactly what I needed to get the car as good as new. I was given a full detailed breakdown of parts etc, including all OE gaskets etc, as well as the head being sent off to be skimmed, valves changed etc. Needless to say I picked up my vehicle today shining like a new penny, and driving like a dream. I cannot recommend Specialist Vehicles enough. Certainly if you have a BMW and it's fitted with a timing chain, these are the guys you have to call. BMW Master tech knowledge and ability without the Main dealer write your car off" price tag. Thank you again Phil

Fantastic garage. Phil and all the staff were lovely and friendly. My husband goes there with his Audi. Mine is just a mediocre Nissan, and we both could not be any happier with the service we have received. I would definitely recommend them.

I first used Specialist vehicles when the local Audi dealer rather let me down. They solved my problem and were absolutely charming. My latest visit has likewise been very satisfactory.I was and am very impressed!

Honest and reliable service. Recently took my vehicle into Specialist Vehicles and I was really impressed with the service provided. The technicians quickly diagnosed the issue for me which was a wheel bearing. They also carried out a complimentary health check which showed that my rear brake pads and discs would need replacing within the next 12 months. This was to the contrary of what the main dealer had told me as according to their technicians it needed replacement imminently. An honest service goes a long way and I will definitely be returning to Specialist Vehicles from this point forward.

Came in a while back on grounds of recommendation from someone that had links to the business. I had a mot failure on my headlight. On investigation water had soaked the component and needed a new ballast (this alone cost around 500 for that part!! And apparently was no cheaper alternative) I'm not very technical with car's and I have a tendency to stutter when I'm anxious, this is mind, a few days after repairs were done I had noticed there was still moisture inside the headlight casing and was worried that this would effect the new part. I had called specialist vehicles and asked about the above concern. I wasn't speaking to the person I had previously been dealt with at the time of repair so I was unsure if words and lingo so I was a bit stuttery. To which they called the person that recommended me and I had apparently been rude, aggressive, swearing down the phone. Which is far from the truth nor is in my nature.I found the lack of professionalism truly showed and then try to lie to me and fob me off when calling and asking about work that had been done. Thankfully lights still work and the moisture cleared, but it is not the point

After recently having my car MOT & Serviced, my window regulator failed late Friday afternoon. I contacted Specialist Vehicles Ltd who kindly booked my car in for Monday morning & I had my car back the next day. I cannot thank them enough, they are very polite & will do everything they can do to help get a problem resolved. 5 Star service & I would highly recommend.

This was my first time using specialist vehicle repairs and I could not be more pleased my car was treated with total care and respect even the gear shifter had a protective cover they could not of been anymore helpful or pleasant to deal with I definitely am going to be a long term customer
