Ely's Nail Bar Professional Nail Care

My sister went and got her nails done here. She was told her nails would be £50 all together. The lady then tried bullying her into paying an extra £35 . Very pushy and unprofessional. Please don’t use this nail bar !!

I will not be returning, £60 for a new set of acrylics?! I’ve never heard of prices like this and the same as others a big push for my toes or a design I didn’t want, I feel like I have been robbed but I didn’t want a confrontation, I feel like I was taken advantage of, this is not the salon for me

Walked in yesterday to have my false nails removed. So wish I hadn't. It was supposed to be £20 to have these removed. Ended up being convinced into having infills which they charged me £40 for. Daughters false nails cost £45. Got charged a lot more than was on the price list. They were extremely pushy & dishonest. I felt uncomfortable confronting them about this while there. Ended up contacting when I got home for them to say 'ah sorry, we will give you a offer next time'. Very disappointed & unhappy with mine & my daughter's nails, after 1 day it looks like they're coming away from the nails. Will not be going here again.

I wish I had read the reviews before going here! They are true. I was like a lamb to the slaughter, having never had my nails professionally done before. I thought the price was quite expensive, but just assumed that must be the going rate. I should have done my research. Now, I am realising I paid far too much for the work done. I had to go back the next time they were open, as one nail was starting to peel off. Pushy service and changing the price first agreed when it came to payment. I won't ever be going back here and would recommend anyone reading this to avoid avoid avoid.

All I can say is Katie saw me coming. I was a walk in and whilst I initially thought she was friendly, she was very pushy. I specifically said no tips but after badgering me consistently I felt I had to agree to them. Katie was very pushy about me telling friends of her service and calling me her friend. She was heavy handed and hurt me a bit, and the shaping of my nails was not great. I did not see a price list but expected to pay around £50 for toes and hands polish only. I was in and out within 25 mins. When I went to pay and saw an amount of £105, I asked if she meant pounds or dollars (I’m from Australia). When I realised it was pounds I could not believe it. I hesitated paying and she tried to tell me they would last 3-6 months! In the end, as I am on holiday, I handed over the cash, but I would never ever recommend Ely’s Nail bar to anyone. PS my step mum had her nails done on the same day at nail pro and was charged £70 for a full pedicure and manicure. I feel angry that I was ripped off so badly.

Same as everybody else in the reviews.The lady was being very pushy about trying to do my toes and I had to firmly tell her not to after about 30 plus attempts.She then preceded to try and charge me 78 quid for acrylic nails l when she has a price already on the board but apparently the price was 'just for the nails' not for the art or paint.She is very misleading but I did stand my ground and only ended up paying £50.This woman preys on the weak be wary.

Lady was SO pushy. I was really scared and intimidated by her and she kept asking me to text my friend to come and get her nails done. The nails aren’t amazing either, nice colour but some of the shaping is off.

Katie's aggressive business practices and harassment are outrageous.We were overcharged £35, but assumed we'd misunderstood and paid, then we saw all of these reviews and realised we'd been conned. Immediately cancelled our next appointment and was bombarded with 60 messages over 3 days harrassing us to rebook.

My went there on wed 25 Oct this year and what a rip off it was was told it would b £43 just for nails to b done finished up she done her toe nail as well which my wife didn’t want done hurt my wife’s legs finished up at a&e as she cannot bear anyone touching her legs and costing £125 what a bloody rip off that place is should b closed down

I’ve been coming here for a while and always leave with a lovely set of nails! Katie takes the time to get to know her customers and enjoys a good conversation. She always has a go at some of the weird and wonderful nail ideas I find which is great too!
