Absolutely awful experience trying to apply for a rental property through this office. After viewing a house we chased them for over three weeks, got passed from pillar to post and then finally got told we weren’t good enough to apply for the house as we work in hospitality, therefore we couldn’t even submit an application! Very bizarre that we would be prevented from applying due to our (full time) job roles, but to be misled and ignored for weeks was a really awful experience and such a waste of our time.

I found everyone I dealt with at Armitstead Barnett friendly and eager to help, which certainly helps take the edge off what is, essentially, a very stressful (albeit exciting!) experience. Delighted to have now picked up the keys and be moving in to my wonderful new home :)

Got nowhere with these guys. It was almost as though we were being used in a process that was a foregone conclusion with every property we tried to secure… Wouldn’t be surprised if they’re taking back handers. If you’re not in the club you ain’t getting the property.

I recently completed on a house sold through Armitstead Barnett, and it was a pretty horrible experience if I'm honest.Obviously due to covid & the stamp duty holiday, conveyancers & local authorities were a little slower than usual (still managed to complete in 14 weeks though); however this apparently wasn't quick enough. I constantly had calls/email chasers (multiple times in one week at one point) from one of the Agency Partners telling me that the vendor was going to walk away as significant progress hadn't yet been made with enquiries"

Everyone in the Garstang office went over and above in helping get my purchase completed quickly. Great communication and professionalism. They never failed to return a call or do something they said they would. The whole team were friendly and approachable and even recommended some good spots for lunch. I would have no hesitation in using them again or recommending them to anyone looking to buy or sell.
