don't get me wrong I bet that fir average British the food would be 4 stars... I was just a bit disappointed because I wanted more fish flavour... But oysters where 5/5 stars!

I’ve had better and cheaper seafood in the PNW. Our lobster was extremely over cooked. Oysters and atmosphere were good. The scallops were clearly the only thing cooked to order and they were excellent. Wouldn’t recommend the seafood platter. The seaweed salad was mostly sweet mayo.

Went here for lunch. Made a reservation prior so no problems with finding a table. Ordered a starter, sea bream fillet and a sea bass. Portion size of the sea bream was a little on the small side, plus considering the fact that it's a seaside town with a good source of fish. Sea bass was tasty. Desserts of sticky toffee pudding and a cheesecake were great. 4 stars because we felt abit pressured but we must say that the staff were overall still very friendly. Would probably recommend ordering from the mains rather than the lunch/dinner sets.

We arrived late around 8:30 after having to take a massive detour owing to a road closure having come off the late afternoon Islay ferry. Fortunately service was still in full swing and did not rush us to finish in any way despite the restaurant closing at 9:30. Food was excellent especially the fish and chips which was beautifully battered. An excellent spot for a late feed.

Fabulous service, great views.Tasty cocktails.Good wine selection. The food was delicious and fresh.I will be back for sure.Best fish and chips every, however I would of preferred fish chips and mushy peas rather then salad.Sticky toffee pudding was divine and they kindly substituted the ice cream for cream.Tables are close to one another, but this was not an issue as we chatted to the people on the tables next to us.

Staff were attentive, friendly and welcoming. The restaurant is in the first floor which gave it a good view and ambiance. The seafood is really fresh and cooked perfectly. We absolutely love the seafood chowder! Oysters (grilled & chilled) are their must try. The mains came in big servings as well. Would definitely come back if around the area again.

Gorgeous views and delicious super fresh seafood. Got 3 appetizers and one main to share for two. Crab toast, scallops, salmon pate, and the daily special sea bass (favorite!). Also ordered 500ml wine and peach ice tea yum. They have some early evening and lunch specials that would be worth taking advantage ofEdit:Came back for lunch the next day! Lunch special is not as good as dinner but still good. Maybe we didn’t order the right things, but either way I would have probably preferred the regular menu. The chowder was heavy but delicious (not pictured).

Chowing down in Oban, this seafood joint is undoubtedly the Neptune’s crown jewel! The authentic flavors whisked me straight back into the briny depths. The king prawns and scallops are as succulent as a seafront sunset, and the mussels, well, they’re a downright delectable delight. This place serves up seafood with a posh accent – each bite is a royal nod to the maritime majesty. It’s not just a dining experience; it’s a sea-sational journey that deepens my love for the ocean’s bounty. Can’t wait to dive into these delightful aquatic vibes again!

A little crowded, a little noisy. Must book a reservation online at their website in advance to not be disappointed. We ordered a bottle of Chardonnay but one in our table of 4 ordered a glass of Malbec that never arrived. Food was fantastic! Lobster, burger, smoked salmon trio . . . Highly recommend!!
