A great old fashioned charles wells 2 bar village pub in the heart of houghton conquest the landlord and landlady are legends jane and George the 1st room is a lounge with a cosy atmosphere the 2nd room is a public bar with a jukebox pool table and dart board but they were unavailable and a large beer garden at the front and the toilets were very nice and clean got great social distancing and covid-19 avoid i visited again today and had a diet coke and cheese and onion crisps and had a lovley chat with the landlady i had the whole lounge to myself 2nd time ive been here i also visited last month

It a nice pub and thay are nice people that go in there all the people go in there talk to u I do like Jane and George thay are friendly people

Locals pub, one cask ale but always in tip top condition. Great for darts.
