I heard good things about this place and boy do they stand up. The staff were great, really inviting and were even given us tips on local hikes. I love the seating arrangements. Families can take up a whole table then another couple can sit on the end, but we opted to sit at the counter, it was just a great social vibe.We had the curried sole with grilled cabbage and potatoes. The sourdough and butter was phenomenal. Unreal, simple food. Fresh. I love small plates and it was a seafood tapas heaven. We shared a pannacotta which was also so silky and sweet. So much on the chalkboard menu I wanted to try but didn't want to overdo it! I got to try my first whelk and whilst it wasn't the most appetising thing to eat, it was so so good. I even got to keep the shell as a souvenir! The wine they have on tap was unfiltered and so moreish. Would have been great to just sit there drinking that and eating oysters the whole afternoonWe were pondering on spending the wet and windy day at Eden project but so happy we chose to go here instead. Thanks guys

Been here about 6/7 times, its great place for lunch with a menu changing daily. Mussels, interesting fish, oysters, occasional Sarnie. It is pricey, but inline with other restaurants of this nature in Cornwall, apart from drinks, prices have been jacked a bit in the last 2 years. Unique spot though, indoor / outdoor great addition to the town and good it's walk ins only

Got there pretty early on their last day of service for the summer and glad I did as this place does fill up! We had an absolutely delicious selection of Cornish seafood. Shout out to the whole turbot head - if you enjoy eating nose to tail (or, mouth to tail) this is the sort of dish that keeps on giving. Incredibly flavoursome and deceivingly large portion. Half Lobster with garlic butter, monkfish with curry mayo, cod’s roe on sourdough and lobster fritters all excellent. We didn’t feel the need for sides but had a tasty hispi cabbage and some sourdough to mop up all the good stuff. Lovely open kitchen and buzzy atmosphere. Dog friendly. Will definitely return if in the area again. Best place I ate at in Cornwall!

We had the most delicious lunch at North Street Kitchen today. Unbelievably fresh Porthilly oysters, sardines with pasta and chilli, gurnard in a green sauce, cabbage drenched in butter. Lovely service, truly outstanding restaurant. No bookings, lunchtime only, just rock up. I loved it.

What a find. Relaxed and chilled atmosphere, great food and service, dog friendly and a selection of non alcoholic drinks.Wonderful seafood but the highlight was the grilled cabbage….yes I know….cabbage!!! Will definitely come back again.

An absolute gem of a restaurant, some of the nicest seafood I've ever had in the UK! The staff are wonderful and very conscientious of food intolerances and allergies. As quite a few reviews have said in the past: yes the portions are small compared to the price. HOWEVER you are paying for quality, not quantity. If you want cheap food with bigger portions go to a chippy. If you want exquisite fish and seafood near the waterfront I highly recommend here.

Superb - the fish straight from the grill was so good we had to order another! My only suggestion would be to offer the wonderful bread free of charge with each dish, to avoid complaints of small portions for the price. But otherwise flawless.

Nice place and good food.We wait to be seated more than 30 min. When we get there the girl told us that we should wait only 10 min. It was busy day but the food was ok.I don’t know why the service was more than any other place but I think it is too much 12,5%.

Way too pricey, and a limited menu, but food was delicious. I paid £5 for a thimble full of cider, ridiculous. But the nicest fish soup I think I've ever eaten.

Relaxed and rustic place with tasty, humble food that is elevated. Interesting selection of drinks too. Not brilliant value but will still have to give 5 star for the fantastic food and nice service. Fish soup particularly special! Thanks
