Oriel Jones Butcher

Very fussy with where we buy our meat from. Knowing that oriel has their own farm in wales and all meat is locally sourced is a massive plus for us. Very lovely staff, always happy to help and suggest. Great already made up oven trays also! Highly recommended

Hands down the best butcher I have ever been to. I am an American, from the Midwest. We may no know much, but we know meat. And we know how to cook it. The team at Oriel Jones are fantastic. Friendly and knowledgeable. Ethically sound, and just good people.

Been to lots of butchers around Caerphilly and Cardiff, this one tops the charts. Friendly, helpful, clean, and most importantly the meat is well-sourced and truly delicious. Worth every penny to support great contenders in the industry.

Closed, wasted a journey.Update: Thanks for the response. By all means the staff should be deserved a day off. I checked social media, google opening hours and the website before making the trip to ensure that it was not the day off. It was a 40 minute round trip drive, then I had to especially download a silly app for the carpark behind then pay £3 to park, only to find the butcher was closed.Maybe it's an unfair review but at the moment very disappointed and out of pocket so feels deserved to me.Perhaps I'll try again in the future and possibly improve the review.

Bought some lamb chops today from this butcher.and I have to say they were really lovley and so tender .made a delicious meal!..I like their packaging too!very clean and spotless shop..I'll definitely be back.

Have been going to Oriel for the last few years, the quality of the produce is excellent and the service is outstanding.Last week we turned up after the shop had closed as we'd got confused about the opening times. The staff were still there cleaning up, but stopped what they were doing and happily cut us some steaks as if it was no inconvenience at all. We were so grateful and the steak itself was delicious.

The best butcher shop in Cardiff. Grass-fed beef from outdoor cattle situated in prime agricultural land in west Wales.A lot more variety in terms of cuts of meat than your average butcher.
