. I would not even give this one star -but to post a review you have to apparently! Would not recommend this shop at all. Very unhelpful on the phone when I rang up for a quote. Said I HAD to come into the shop for them to be able to give me details around how much it would cost to fit a carpet. When I asked why they couldn't give me any information, they got aggressive and queried why I was asking for information and couldn't understand why an 8 1/2 month pregnant woman wanted to find out information on the phone! In contrast the other carpet shops in Islington I have rung up who have much better customer service!!

Fitted my Carpet nice, good quality - very lovely staff at the shop, however one of the two fitters was very unhelpful and seemed so annoyed to be there made me feel uncomfortable which should definitely not be the case. It’s a shame he let the service down.

Very nice place with lots of quality carpets priced reasonably. Please note unless you have a large area to carpet they won't take your order and do if you live like me in Hammersmith. I used the place before some couple of years ago but lived in Holborn, I moved to Hammersmith and thought I could get some carpet there that I wanted but the man said the boss will not do one room as I live in Hammersmith and the shop is at the Angel Islington on Essex road which I thought was a shame but that's there policy. Good shop though I recommend. Amanda

Always head straight to Lee Banks whenever I want carpet - either for my own home or for a client. Good old fashioned service, they are really helpful. Do go into the store, they have a large selection on show and will be really accommodating. They did a great job recently for a stair runner for me.

Very happy with the service I received from Lee banks Carpet Centre.I had my stairs done a number of years ago and wanted to match this carpet for the living room.Lee was very helpful in allowing me to borrow some samples from the shop (over night )after I had some samples posted out but they were not the right match.The carpet fitters were very friendly and professional and did a great job.I recommend this carpet shop on the Essex Road and hope that I will be able to use their services again in the future.

Nice range of carpets (from budget to mid range, with some high end). The range of wood flooring is not as vast, but probably adequate for most residential needs. We ordered a large piece of carpet to be edged and used as a rug. The finished quality was very good, delivery was speedy, and customer contact from Lee and the team was efficient. Very happy to recommend.
