My insurance company sent Calvin Price from SOS to search for the leak that is dripping from my attic onto my 1st floor ceiling. He was excellent. He explained the whole process to me, thoroughly checked all the plumbing, used thermal imaging and a sky camera and finally determined that the there is a gap in my roof due to a previous poor repair. He also pointed out some problems with a roof gutter and my boiler pipe about which I was unaware. He told me how to repair both problems.The first plumber my insurance company sent last week spent all of 10 minutes looking around the attic and then left. Thankfully, Calvin was thorough and professional and so much better than the first plumber. Well done to him and my insurance company for being so responsive and supportive.

We had a Christmas miracle this morning! Leak detected and repaired. We now have hot water for the first time since the big freeze in Scotland last week. Chris came early for our appointment and was an absolute credit to the company. He identified the source of the leak quickly and went above and beyond to repair it on the job. There was no mess left and we can now go ahead with the rest of our home insurance claim to repair the damage caused by the burst pipe. Thank you so much, Chris, for coming to our aid. Luke came to identify the source of our leak. He did so quickly and professionally and was a friendly and genuinely lovely guy. Polite and courteous, taking his boots off when he arrived. He took the time to show us what had gone wrong and explained why it had happened. He was very thorough and I feel extremely confident that he knew what he was doing. As a company I was called very quickly to arrange an appointment. The lady on the phone was so helpful and friendly and told me what to expect and Luke’s name. Luke arrived promptly. SOS Leak Detection Engineers visited my home for a leak inspection. They advised me that the leak was due to a moved backplate from the shower. This was not due to a sealant issue however in their report, this was not made clear. Frontier insurance, a dishonest insurance firm jumped on the sealant issue claiming there was a faulty sealant. If no sealant was used in the installation of over 9 years, how can there be a faulty sealant? The fact that SOS Leak Detection can join in the lies and dishonesty is what is not acceptable. When you lie with dogs you get fleas!!!

Fraudulent company, hired by insurance company to find a leak in my kitchen floor. The ended up created even more damage to my floor, and charged nearly 1500 to my insurance company (which was then deducted from the total amount I had to repair a kitchen) for a 15 minute appointment where they wasted time only trying methods that had previously failed. They didn't bother taking information from previous investigation to understand that what they would do wouldn't work. They were totally Incompetent and rude. Total scam of a company.

Failed to disclose that in a modern house with all pipework in drywall cavity, they will not even try a tracer gas test. Would have been cheaper to buy a high end thermal camera outright.

My insurers contracted SOS Leak detection after a water leak in my home. We were attended by Luke, who worked very quickly to find the source of the water leak and expose the pipes. He kindly fitted a temporary repair, and even came back to rectify when we lost hot water to restore it for us. He gave clear explanations of his work and the issues, which meant I understood what was needed. I truly cannot recommend the company enough as they were so professional and conscientous in their work. Thank you Luke and the team.

Liars. Don’t know what they are doing. Avoid at all costs. Never use them under any circumstances. Worst company I have ever dealt with. The management should be fired with immediate effect.SOS has responded since my post to say they are looking into this. Don’t be fooled; they had already written to us before their posting, telling us they were refusing to refund the 1,600 pounds that we had incurred as a result of their incompetence. We are now being forced to appeal this through the financial ombudsman, but have an independent expert who is more than prepared to tell them how poor a job SOS did on our heating system. Again, do not use them.

Once my insurance company approved the claim, I secured an appointment 3 days later. The engineer did a splendid job in identifying the leak within 30 minutes. Within the next hour he was also able to fix the issue by gaining access to the pipe with minimal fuss and good DIY skills to undo the unit surrounding the impacted area. Thank you very much Rob and the lovely team on the phone (Sarah and Lauren) who took a heavy burden off my shoulders to regain access to hot water and central heating!
