Went for a job interview in a building in Belfast City Centre got into the lift and pressed the floor button. There was a couple of other people in the lift who were exchanging horror stories about the lifts in this building. One said that lots of people have been trapped and the other said the lift had fallen with someone in it... only a few feet but enough to cause a fright. I'm sure there are plenty of lifts like it and maybe there are other problems that are beyond the lift company's control like the lift needs modernised but the landlord won't carry out the necessary work. This is not my problem with this company, in fact it's not with the company at all but the company representative. There were two lift engineers on site carrying out maintenance and the lift wouldn't stop at the floor I selected so instead it went up another two floors and stopped where they were working so out of courtesy I said the lift wouldn't stop at the selected floor to which the maintenance technicians looked at me blankly and as the door closed one of them said loudly 'then you should have used the f$@%ing stairs then shouldn't you' as the lift moved away.not a very smart tech if he thought I wouldn't hear him or his buddy laughing. In fact not very smart or professional to respond to a complete stranger in this manner.If you work for a company no matter what the job is or if you enjoy it or not, as soon as you put that uniform on you're representing the company and should conduct yourself in a professional manner. I'm sure the company wouldn't stand for such behaviour and as such I have given a poor review purely based on my first impressions of the company representatives.
