Fishponds Library

Library is small next to morrison's in fishponds, there are about five computer's and one with scanner. However, the staff are not that helpful as when i askwd for help they said we are not trained on how to use the scanner" basically you're left to do it yourself. So if you're at this library don't expect help as you're not going to get it! otherwise ita nice and quite."

It looks like library is not the place to study anymore .Went there few times to study and the place was noisy .People were talking out loud included the staff who work there. People talk on the phone inside the library as if they were alone .Many people sit in their jacket ,because it's freezing inside.:/

When did public libraries become play centres for kids? I went here to try to get peace and quiet and do some work, because it's a LIBRARY, and they have a session of singing and tambourines with kids. I went to the Junction one and they have a play area with an actual slide, and mum's go there with their screaming babies to meet up. you could take them ANYWHERE else

Lovely little library, always a pleasure to visit. Good variety of childrens books and staff is friendly and helpful.

Keep this library as it has a great community offer for people in need of safe spaces.

I went to the Fishponds Library Tuesday afternoon, around 4pm, 13/12/22. I didn't catch the names of the two people at the front desk...but they were so helpful with getting something printed. Sometimes running socially anxious, and being particularly so on this day after a rough week, it took me minutes of silent panic and internal flailing to muster courage to ask for help, bracing myself against the possibility of being met with annoyance, or condescension, or unkindness in my tender state...and was met with the exact opposite. They were kind and patient and knowledgeable in troubleshooting and experimenting and persevering and getting the job done, and I melted a bit in tears of gratitude. I want to thank those two librarians so so much, and thank you Fishponds library for hiring such kind workers. It is so appreciated.

I love this cosy little library as a space, there are a decent number of spaces to sit and study, and as I live locally it's convenient to get to, but it's so noisy! :( Whenever I go there's usually someone talking on their phone or a kids group playing, loud computer noises, people just talking as if they weren't in a library - today someone was playing music! Since when are libraries no longer quiet spaces? I would love if there was a separate room or something dedicated to quiet study. But so often I feel like I'm forced to go all the way to central library so I can find peace and quiet :(

Decent little library with good selection of books and friendly, knowledgeable staff.Computers a little slow but reliable and with a decent internet speed.Can get rather noisy at times, but it does double as a social space like most libraries do now.Really wish they'd let patrons use the car park behind it as it is often almost empty and parking nearby can be tough. I'd even be willing to pay for this.

Great little library, although it's a small space it's constantly being made more user friendly with quiet reading, kids, study, computer sections. The librarians are friendly, helpful & knowledgeable. There's great locally what's on information scattered around on notice boards. Always enjoy coming here for my books & computer things.
