ASDA Opticians

I would like to thank Vivien and Debbie from the Options in the Kingswood branch. After waking up this morning in saviour pain in my eye. I rang the Options and spoke to Debbie, she then made the an appointment for me. On arrival at Asda I saw Vivien the Option, she was fantastic with me, seemed to understand the pain I was in. Explained everything in laymen terms so I understand what was wrong with my eye, wrote down the drops that I needed, just by Vivien been calm and professional stopped me from panicking and I left there feeling reassured. Thank you again Vivien and Debbie

Easy to get appointment. Friendly staff. Excellent price compared to other high street opticians. Glasses arrived after a week. Highly recommended!

Great customer service today, Optical Assistants and the Optician. Everyone very professional.

Being advertised as being open until 8pm, my husband has been to pick up his new glasses at 7pm the past 2 nights and on both instances the opticians at hessle road asda had been closed due to unforeseen circumstances". Now being closed once due to unforeseen circumstances - fair enough. Twice in quick succession is not "unforeseen" I'm afraid

After my glasses fell apart, I needed urgent help and I’m pleased to report that without any hesitation they did just that. Thankfully, the lady on reception was able to find a new screw and fix then within minutes. Thank you again x

Actually wouldn't even rate it 1 star if I had a choice, my 6 year old daughter who I informed them has difficulties with reading letters and getting them correct got her eye test here where she was made to feel so uncomfortable and nearly crying after he told her she was lying for not been able to read certain letter's, this was a couple of weeks ago and she's still telling everyone how horrible her experience was and now terrified of opticians, she also can't sit still due to possible adhd even keeping her eyes still is very challenging for a long period of time, again he was aware of this because I informed him of everything from the start, again he told her off constantly he was very abrupt and definitely shouldn't be working anywhere near children

They used to be very good, however, over the last couple of years things have gone downhill. It is impossible to get an appointment within 2 months of booking and there is currently no optician available on a weekend!Trying to book 2 children in for an eye test during the six weeks holidays? Nope earliest appointment is October during school times.

So, I waited 15 minutes for anyone to even acknowledge that I was stood waiting to be seen.I was ignored by 3 staff members whilst they all spoke with an Asda employee. Did it really need 3 people to deal with 1 person. No eye contact or an acknowledgement that I was there.I was then informed that it was appointment only.Okay, made an appointment and returned.Staff were friendly and helpful.Then after paying, I was told 2 weeks for delivery. Okay, not ideal as needed them, but accept with COVID everything is delayed.After 2 weeks I called, and was told that I fact they meant working days (so 3 weeks). No apology, and quite shirty about it.I called just before 3 weeks and was told they were still not in. Okay.I then rang after 15 working days to be told that my glasses had been delivered and cancelled. Wft?After speaking with manager later, it appears that they sent the wrong prescription as the staff had inputted info wrong.No one called me. No one told me on the couple of times I called.Took me being short to get answers.Waiting for phone call back tomorrow to find out when they will actually arrive. Initial estimation is end of the week which will take it to 20 WORKING days. Almost a month for glasses, glasses I am desperately in need of. Wish I had paid the extra and gone somewhere else. Suppose you live and learn... But will not be using them again.
