Trump Turnberry, King Robert The Bruce Golf Course

What a golf course! Played a round on the King Robert the Bruce course and it was absolutely stunning. Fortunately, we had a perfect June day - the sun was shining, nice and warm and very little wind. So, the course itself is immaculate, as you would imagine. It’s quite challenging as, if you are not hitting the fairways, then your ball is buried in pretty thick rough and then if you are further of line your ball is lost in thick spikey bushes. This course doesn’t take you right up to the Turnberry lighthouse and the halfway house. You’ll have to play the championship Ailsa course for that. But you can walk up to lighthouse at any other time. If you get the opportunity to play or just stroll the grounds, highly recommended.

Really bad experience. Reserved buggies. Not available at check in. Reserved forecaddie for 80 pounds. Were told 100 pounds at first tee. Needed more balls and a glove. Pro shop not open at 9am. Caddie was terrible. Walked and smoked. A bit of history. Not a single ball retrieved from hole. Not a single ball washed. Putting input minimal and always the same. Little to no help finding balls and fairways were tight with a good bit of wind. My recommendations are to 1) not play this course as it is too tight and 2) not use a forecaddie. Very disappointing experience at a Trump property. Billy the caddie needs to retire.

Although the 2nd course at Turnberry this is a fine test. The gorse is there to catch errant drives but the fairways are generous. The course has spectacular views of the famous lighthouse and the coastline. Complimentary range balls are included in your green fee and there is a quality short game area next to the first tee. The best putting green is by the Ailsa first tee. The himalayas putting green is a gimmick. The clubhouse shared by both courses is large and full of attentive staff. Prices are extortionate and they add 10% service charge to your bill automatically.Locker rooms are high spec with large showers and free towels.The course is lovely and a good test.

Absolutely superb. We played this course on a Sunday Afternoon and a Monday morning. It obviously lies in the the shadow of the best golf course in the world (Aisla course) but this one definitely doesn't disappoint. Tee's fairways and greens all in absolutely in A1 condition. Its a fair course but if you go to left or right your in trouble. Some great par 3s and the absolutely stunning Par 4 9th. The staff at Turnberry are exemplary... A real golfing treat for any golfer.

What a place, the championship course gets all of the limelight but this isn't a course to pass up. Views are stunning holes are stunning.A real treat playing this course, a few risk reward holes which I love. Photos don't do this justice, the professionals shop is packed full of history, nice to bump into another East Renfrewshire member when I was there.

This place is awesome !! Just admire the pics and if you are thinking of a round think no more just play it !!

Brilliant Golf course, the conditions were immaculate and the greens were in such good condition. Not as Iconic as the Ailsa course but still an amazing course. We were lucky to have the weather on our side also which made it even better. Nice wee driving range to practise on before going out aswell. Would highly recommend.
