Kaya at Blackhill Farm

Had the absolute best stay here.. despite the wonderful British weather! The hosts were brilliant and kept in contact! Such a cozy little place with everything you could need. The bed was super comfy which made morning coffee that bit better. There were loads of walking routes around the area and the most lovely pub down the road with amazing food! Would 100% stay here again.

A much needed relaxing weekend in nature, with all the comforts. We stayed in Pumla yurt, which has been thoughtfully designed for a cosy and comfortable stay, slept really well and enjoyed the stargazing window and warmth of the woodburner. The yurt is set in a dark sky site, and despite forgetting my equipment I still managed to shoot a decent photo of the Milky Way on my phone (see photos). Being so close to the Cat's Back (Black Hill) meant amazing nature walks straight from the yurt, made easy by following the route Kaya at Blackhill Farm have set out on strava. A surreal experience relaxing in a hot bath outside afterwards and listening to the owls in the field. Emily and Malik were helpful during our stay, and we enjoyed the local treats and well stocked pantry they provided. Really felt like a quiet retreat and we had such a wonderful stay.

My husband and I stayed in the Nook and we just had the most glorious time - I don’t think my nervous system has ever felt that relaxed!!! The Nook is so beautifully decorated and cosy. The bath is unreal…. As is the wood fired hot tub that was such a treat!! Emily and Malik are beyond helpful and lovely - such a gorgeous family. The fondue was delicious - we have eaten our bodyweight this weekend and been on some epic hikes. It’s just been FABULOUS! Sad to be leaving. We found the trip so inspiring and I’m not dreaming of a new life in the country hiking all day - let’s see!! Thanks again Emily and Malik you have created somewhere truly special.

We had the best time staying at Sky House. The yurt is comfy, cosy and full of thoughtful touches (& interior inspo!!). We enjoyed cooking in the well-equipped kitchen, soaking in the bath tub after a 17km walk (check out the Strava routes in the yurt guide - we saw many wild horses!!), reading with the breathtaking scenery in front of you - the list could go on. The Bull's Head was well worth a visit too. Just a magical couple of days - all thanks to Emily & Malik.

Lovely place, very spacious. Bath is to die for and with a great view of the sky at night. Fully equipped with everything you would need.Host was very friendly and approachable if he was needed.Just watch the road up as it is very bumpy, don't underestimate the hosts warning.

Had the most incredible stay here! Emily was super accommodating from start to finish, making sure it was the most comfortable stay with a thousand personal touches - which made it all the more welcoming! I often dislike staying in accommodation, as I find they are never as clean as the pictures show but this place was so tidy and so so clean, everything felt super fresh. The views surrounding the areas are so beautiful and makes for a very peaceful retreat! We did horse riding and two long hikes and they were both easy to get to with cars and can do hikes straight from the property too! We didn’t have to put the heating on as it stayed just the right temperature and I run cold! The instructions for the hot tub were so simple to follow and actually made for a more unique experience as I’d never used one like this before! The booklets give you great hiking tips and food options - literally everything you can need has been thought of, so if you make use of this and organise massages, riding, hikes beforehand etc you can’t go wrong. Honestly couldn’t recommend this stay enough. Was the perfect weekend away after a very stressful week and Emily’s kind & attentive communication was the cherry on top! Thank you thank you :)

Beautiful relaxing tranquil. We had the best few days staying in Pumla. The log burner made everything warm & cosy, the views and sunrise from the bed are everything you could wish for. Everything is very well presented and put together with love. The perfect get away.

We spent 4 nights during October at the very cozy Sky House. Stunning views, especially watching the sunrise from bed. Although relatively small, it is very well laid out with beautiful little touches from our hosts which made our stay more comfortable (croissants, butter, marshmallows and a well stocked pantry). The outdoor shower was also very invigorating especially with the cold and rainy weather and it definitely makes you feel part of nature. The log burner was great to have on during the cold evenings as we relaxed in the yurt. A very much needed break away from work!Emily and Malik were great with communication and making sure we were comfortable without invading our privacy. Highly recommended!

Just got back from the most amazing few days spent at The Nook , it truly lived up to our expectations and more. So very peaceful & relaxing , the scenery was breathtaking. The accomodation is spacious, clean and has everything that you would need for an escape from your busy lives.

We had an incredible stay in the Sky House yurt at Kaya. So relaxing, the perfect mix of wild nature and home comforts. The outdoor shower was amazing and the yurt was so cosy with the log burner. You can tell love has been poured into the creation of this beautiful place. We ventured out to Hay on Wye, sampled Sunday lunch at The Bull's Head and enjoyed the stunning views across the valley. Highly recommended - go and experience it for yourself!
