I had the good fortune of meeting Stephen prior to doing a major renovation works on a period house that my husband and I had bought towards the end of 2014. Stephen was able to very clearly articulate what he believed needed to be done and also suggested some ideas and demonstrated great creativity in how the renovation should be handled. Stephen and all the people who work alongside him are all extremely engaging, hard working people who have always gone the extra mile for us. The other workmen who he has brought in to do specific aspects of work have also been of the same high calibre which demonstrates that he values working with people who are specifically keen to do a good job. He is very straightforward about costs and transparent about the financial aspects of the work him and his team deliver. I have to say that we were a little apprehensive about organising the renovation of the house however Stephen and his colleagues have made the project so easy and actually enjoyable. I would, without hesitation recommend him to anyone. The project is coming to an end now but I will certainly ensure I talk to Stephen should I require anything further work to be done. Even if he can't do it himself, I feel confident that he will recommend someone with the same work ethic.

I had a damp proof course done by Ascot. Did a really great job, prompt, really reliable, nice friendly lads, so much so I went back to them for a stud wall knocking down job and they did an equally great job. 100% recommend, will be my first port of call for any work I need in the future.

Very, very pleased with the work completed by Steve, Dean and Liam. Have done a few jobs for us in the past and felt it was appropriate to leave a review. They go over everything before work commences such as schedules and costs. Both of which are consistently accurate. They recently damp proofed and completely re skimmed a house that we are renovating. The results of which are incredible, the plastering is to a high standard throughout, which was difficult due to the state of the walls. On top of the great works was also a great service in which they cleaned up, removed rubbish and left the property the same as when they entered a few weeks prior. I've recommended Ascot to a few of my clients as he's always been honest, reliable and reasonable with their prices. Whenever I ring to ask for advise, within a day they go and have a look at the job. If there's no work required, they're honest and this means there's no money in their back pocket but just shows you that there are good honest tradesman out there. The works always done to a high standard and within good time scales. I used to recommend clients to another firm but found they were always too busy and couldn't give my clients the time of day needed and they'd start a job by then leave to finish another. I inquired to Ste at Ascot, he came round promptly within days. Before I had found Ascot and even got round to checking out their website properly, I really struggled to find similar symptoms of mould and damage - to what we had experienced. It was hard to find the right people, the right websites, the right information. But its also hard when you yourself are not sure of what it is or how to describe it!!Once I looked through their site, it was somewhat of a relief to find a company that KNOWS what they are talking about and to read such helpful info and also pictures to refer to as examples. They did the job so well and got it done, cleared up and finished within 4 days including treatment and redoing the wall up. Knowledgeable and patient, they fixed a rotten joist and ran a dampproofing course on our midterrace. One room, four half days.If you're a new home owner, remember to ask how much of the afterwork is included (they redid the plastering and skirting boards, but decorating and recarpetting needs to be arranged).Would use this service again, top guys!
