Birth Nerd supported me through my second pregnancy and birth. It was high risk and filled with curve balls, but I felt fully informed and supported every step of the way, which helped me to make decisions about the birth. I ultimately ended up having a really positive birth experience. I can't recommend Steph enough!

Steph and Lotte are the dream team! They supported us throughout pregnancy, attending appointments when needed and always offering prompt and professional advice. My labour was speedy and Steph reassured me throughout - she was the perfect bridge between the hospital team and me. Lotte was super helpful with feeding my baby and postpartum planning. Steph’s birth prep course has been incredible.As second time parents, we have learnt so much! Before beginning the course we had a birth debrief with Steph, where we talked through our experiences of birthing within the system. Steph validated our feelings and gave us so much clarity on our experience and explain the medical reasons behind some of the decisions that were made.Throughout the course, we have gained knowledge, insight and confidence in the ability of the woman’s body, how birth is designed to work and how we can use our knowledge and choice to have a positive experience whatever the outcome.Not only this, but by doing Steph’s course and becoming more knowledgeable about birth we have been able to understand our previous birth trauma and make peace with our first experience.As Steph says, knowledge is power!The course is so much more than a course, it’s access to Steph, who is just so knowledgeable, logical and helpful!I am so grateful we have done this this time and have her support.

We couldn’t recommend the BirthNerd enough. One private session with Steph went a long way to building our confidence in what is to come.Steph was completely open, friendly, professional and informative. She took us through the whole labour process at a slow pace and in good detail. She answered all and any questions we had, provided caveats and gave ground truths from her own experience as a mother and a midwife, she left us feeling prepared and supported.Struggling to find an Antenatal class that really matched our mindset and fitted into our busy work schedules, Steph came highly recommended. Steph's course has been fantastic - as a first time Mum I feel so much more prepared to give birth and make it a really nice experience for both me and my baby.My partner despite having a child already has learnt so so much too about the system, what actually happens in birth and his role on the day.We both feel like we are in this together now as a team and ready for anything.Highly recommend!

After dragging my reluctant husband along to a taster session with Steph, my suddenly enthusiastic husband insisted we sign up for a private course and it’s the best decision we’ve made. There is so much ‘stuff’ you can buy when expecting, but the best money we’ve spent is becoming fully informed and empowered regarding birth and the choices we have. I had naively assumed there would be NHS antenatal classes and support, but without Steph I feel we would have been completely on our own. Steph’s course is based on fact and her many years of experience, which then allows you to decide what’s right for you personally, there are no hippy-dippy opinions, instead all birth choices are valid from elective c-section to home water birth and everything in between.I’m glad we signed up for her private 1 to 1 course as with erratic work commitments it suited us far better and enabled us to ask questions that we may have felt self-conscious asking in front of others. And when you compare it to the cost of a new pram or raising a child in general, it really is a bargain!I’m now 38 weeks pregnant and confidently looking forward to the birth, which is a very different to how I was feeling at that first taster session many months ago.I whole-heartedly recommend Steph at Birthnerd and can promise you it will be the best money you spend.

Being my 3rd pregnancy you’d think I’d have nailed birth prep. Not the case, and this time, having heard such wonderful things about Hypnobirthing, I was keen to make the most of my opportunity to enhance my very last labour experience. Boy am I glad I did.I called and introduced myself to Steph during lockdown, and I immediately felt at ease. I mean, literally her voice had me meditating and dreamy... And I knew ‘this girl knew her stuff’.I have enjoyed every single session together, and have learnt so much. I can’t speak highly enough about Steph’s style, the informative contest of her sessions and general support she offers. Whilst I am still waiting baby to arrive, I know I’ve made a true friend in Steph and she will be there for me every step along the way.I cannot recommend Birth Nerd highly enough. Thank you for all you have taught me Steph, I’m so excited to put it all into practice and feed back to you in great detail.. because I know how much you love it!

Steph has been really supportive throughout our journey. The course is so insightful and is one part of the package that Steph has offered. Steph has lent us numerous books, been on the end of the phone and met with us to discuss our options. We’re now 40 weeks pregnant and due to complications our birth plan has changed from what we had originally hoped for but Steph has supported and empowered us so that we have been able to discuss and tailor our options with our consultant. We can’t highly recommend Steph’s course enough and we’re looking forward to joining the Parent and Baby group too.
