The Ultimate Picture Palace
For seeing little know films alongside the big movies as well I know of no better place. The seating could be a bit more comfortable but they seem to be making the best of the space and once you’re absorbed into the film it doesn’t matter.

Tiny cinema in Cowley that is the perfect place to go and watch an old film. Don't expect top notch IMAX audio and visuals, this cinema is about embracing the magic of the traditional cinema experience.

Lovely little theater in a protected building, showing lots of indie films and classics, very friendly staff, great bar offer and a wonderful audience. Definitely recommend!

The Ultimate Picture Palace
Visited The Ultimate Picture Palace in Cowley Road, Oxford tonight for our first of what will, I am sure, be many visits. A fabulous intimate & charming cinema, distinguished from 'all the others' not just by its style & attention tom detail but also, and most importantly, by the super friendly team. Thank you for a lovely evening - watching a most remarkable film (Flee).

Had a great time. The staff were lovely. Sound and picture quality were great and seats were comfy. The bar is really nice too, and you can get a good cup of tea in a proper mug!

Independent cinema at its best!Interesting films , a small uncluttered auditorium. NO Popcorn (hooray) but a small cafe in the corner where you can get a drink and some lovely locally sourced cakes, brownies etc.

Honestly, an amazing atmosphere, one of the best cinemas I have been to in my lifetime.Caught two films here during my stay in Oxford (Lunana & Lenor Will Never Die) , welcoming and cozy atmosphere. Staff was really nice and the building has a very unique layout that adds to the atmosphere.Sad that this is not my local cinema or I would have immediately been a member but highly highly recommend anyone who visits Oxford to watch a film here.

The Ultimate Picture Palace
Excellent place. They show new films as well as classics, they have hot drinks and beers at the bar. You can bring your own snacks (just no popcorn because it's messy and no hot food- very reasonable if you ask me!).Available for local independent artistic events, I went to and photographed a DJ set and live coding performance last month which was excellent :).I just went to a documentary screening with a Q&A afterwards. The UPP works very hard with local and University organisations to put on these events, and they're excellent.SUPPORT LOCAL INDEPENDENT CINEMA!!
