Armstrong’s Fish and Chips
Experience is from delivery via Uber eats. Food arrived cold, wrong item was given ( curry instead of peas). Ordered cheese and onion pie and chips and peas twice. One portion only had an handful of chips. Other portion was ok but as said previously, food was cold. Overpriced for food quality.

Not sure what is going on with this place. It used to be fantastic, but the quality has gone downhill massively in recent times.We order quite regularly via Uber Eats and have noticed that there is a tendency to not deliver certain items that you order. For example, I've yet to receive any muffin that I've ever ordered - at £1 a pop as well! This forces you to go through Uber Eats' rather tortuous claims process to try and get your money back.Our most recent order also had Armstrongs deliver a jumbo sausage rather than the footlong we ordered - however, the nuance of this apparent issue was lost on Uber Eats who couldn't understand the problem, so I guess we'll have to suck up the loss ourselves on that one.The biggest insult though was the chips though. They were greasy, and overcooked - a real disappointment.Like I said, it used to be a real treat to get chippy tea from this place - in future, I think we'll swerve it.

Armstrong’s Fish and Chips
Had a fish here today. Unfortunately it was not up to Armstrong's usual standard. The piece had obviously been cooked some time before. It was a small rectangular shape and although edible it was not delicious as previous fish purchased from here. There was a strange sinew down the side of it which I discarded as I was unsure what it was. Hopefully this was a one off..

Forgot one our fish and chips , the girl that served us was in her own world , had to tell her out order 3/4 time , 2 fish and chips and a separate chips and a tub ov pees , the pees was stone cold and solid . Would not come back, had to come back to pick the other half ov the order up because no-one would pick up the phone after trying to call a number of times

Worst fish and chips I have ever had fish wasn't nice tasted like fat needed changing chips were old and the scrag ends of potatoes peas ok curry was congealed will not ever buy again or recommend sorry

Large portions, reasonable prices, efficient staff. I don't go for the atmosphere. Only downside is card only payment. Been caught out a couple of times.

I think this is the best place for good ole fish and chips, we went on Friday evening and it was very busy the staff do try and serve you with a smile but they were rushed off their feet, and although they are signs up saying no cash card only one person was disappointed as he only had cash and was turned away .
