Glenfinnan Viaduct

Epic views. Loads of tourists. Harry Potter vibes. Very chilled afternoon and lucky to get parking was very busy. Recommended if your passing by. Good walk from car park so take care if not very mobile.

This was such a bucket list item for an American girl. We parked and walked a short ways on the path up above the track to wait for the train to come through. The train comes through at certain times and it passes fairly quickly so have your camera ready. So grateful for this experience!!

Great to walk under and around this historic viaduct! The Harry Potter affiliation makes it even better! Would for sure recommend on a nice day!

Lovely experience irrespective of whether you’re a Harry Potter fan or not. It’s like a mini pilgrimage that people make from around the world.The train crosses the bridge 4 times a day during peak summer season and it’s important you factor this into your plan.Parking - Given this is a very popular attraction, parking spaces get filled very quickly and you should be ready to park on the side of the road a few mins ahead in that scenario. Best way to avoid this is to arrive early enough so you can find a spot and then eat + shop at the visitor center before the train arrives. You need to pay for parking.Viewpoint - There are multiple viewpoints along the way where you can stop and each one is unique. Find a spot that you can reach in time and that fits your abilities. The best panoramic views can be seen if you cross the viaduct and go to the other side and climb up the hill which is a 10-15 min walk from the parking.Visitor center - This is a great place to buy some memorabilia and I would suggest doing it before the train arrives if you can to avoid the crowd later on.Food - There’s an outdoor cafe that serves hot food and beverages. Service and selection is great.

Great views, as well as some nice trails.And if you're lucky (or timed your visit right) you can also catch a look at the Hogwarts Express.There is also a very big parking area where you have no issues even with a big motorhome.

Went to see this bridge as it is featured in the Harry Potter film. The stream team passes twice a day. Got to see the train pass would recommend going as the scenery is beautiful.

Very cool place!! It's amazing to see all of the architecture that was possible so long ago!! And after going over it in the train and then getting to see the train go back over it was just the best thing you could ask for!!
