Cycle Hub Medway

Brilliant place, picked my bike up from my house, gave it a full service, and dropped it back to my door with some helpful advice on general care. Can't fault them!

Amazing job completed. Really impressed with the work and the staff. I phoned up in the morning and explained my problem, the bike was collected and ready for collection by the afternoon. Very reasonable cost too!! Happy to support a local, family run business.

Took my Dutch bike equipped with hub gears and brakes to cycle hub on a recommendation after resistance in the rear wheel, that another repairers in Gillingham failed to fix. Unable to fix my bike, however, cycle hub had the bike for months before even looking, Phoned about once every three weeks to see how bike was getting on and told 'I'm just waiting for an hour to have a look' . Eventually bike returned after about 6 months, looks like all they did was remove rear wheel (which they didn't bother to re fit properly), chain guard left in pieces, seat left as it would presumably have been when on cycle stand. Looking at other reviews, I assume that they are good at what they have experience of (Setting up and servicing road bikes) and this is evidenced by the number of bikes they have in the workshop. However, I would have preferred it if they had just said at the outset this wasn't the kind of bike they deal with rather than have my bike for months and return it in bits. Personally I would not use again. Thanks for your reply, and I appreciate your honesty and apology. I would like to point out that the lug/nut that attaches the arm of the rear brake the end of the rear brake cable is missing completely.

Superb service!Chris talked me through all the options and wasn't pushy at all. Everything from initial conversation to bike pick up/drop off and the service itself was perfect.Very impressed considering the horrendous service and quality I've gotten from Halfords in the past! Used cycle hub for the first time, very pleased with the service I got, my kalkhoff is 9 yrs old, had a brake and gear service and returned to have a part fitted which was cracked. The gears have never felt as smooth and the brakes very efficient, overall very pleased and would recommend

After buying a Trek remedy 7 mountain bike from eBay I found that the bike was in need of a service as the brakes were not as they should be, I found cycle hub online and booked the bike in for the brakes to be fixed and a full service if needed. When I dropped the bike off I spoke to Chris the owner who was full of great information and talked me through how the bike and suspension worked and the best way to set it all up. The next day I get a call that my bike was ready to collect, I was told that all they needed to do was change the brake pads and bleed the brakes they also checked the bike over adjusted the suspension and re-greased all moving parts. And the bill £60 ! I was quoted this at another place just to bleed the brakes thanks once again 10/10 I will defiantly recommend you to my friends.

Great Service and fast at what they do will come back if bike has issues again 100% but sad to hear it be moving from lordswood

I recently got my first road bike on the cycle to work scheme from Halfords. My front wheel was somehow buckled and rubbing on the front brakes. Initially i thought i would need a new wheel. After some googling i found out that sometimes the wheel can be trued.I visited another bike store but i wasnt filled with enthusiasm that the wheel could be fixed.When i visited the Medway cycle hub i found that the staff really knew their stuff and clearly had a lot of enthusiasm for cycling. I had no trouble leaving my wheel with them to be trued.The price was really good and sure enough when i got the wheel home and gave it a spin in the forks you could barely notice any side to side movement.I would recommend the Medway cycle hub.

Decide to get my old Boardman bike out of the shed after 3 years. Took it to cycle hub for a full service. They went over all the problems with the bike and we agreed a fee. When I collected the bike the cost was 20% cheaper with all the work done. I then had another problem not relating to my service so I took it back to cycle hub. They spent 2 hours sorting the problem and did not charge me a penny. What a great attitude to display to his customer. I can highly recommend them if you need a bike or want yours serviced in the future.
