Big store fairly tidy with a small range for most sports however prices have risen massively and the staff seem to be cloned from the one person as nobody seemed to want to help other than the radios at full volume yet help never came left with a few items but would have had more if we didn’t get bored of waiting

Massive jumble sale with prices no longer as reasonable as they used to be. Oh and don't forget you can't return anything for a refund. Getting worse, less choice but more money...and now when you ask to use your blue light card you have to provide further ID!! !Only place I've ever been asked for more. Place is a joke, total lack of customer respect. Won't be going back again.

Probably the worst sports direct I’ve been in for customer service.. I asked if they could scan a shoe for me, as was told from Darlington branch that they had the size I wanted.. I was told that what they had was out on shop floor, if it wasn’t there then it’s not there. I was then shown where the shoes were and said they’ll be there if there! Thanks for the help.. young girl was no help and the manager was worse.. would have taken 5seconds to scan the shoe… I wish JJB was back!

Visited this place on the 23rd of December; the place was busy; but well staffed; fast and friendly service at the tills; daft bits of banter to be had....I'm not a huge fan of JD because the price of things; although I was surprised to find they did have a handful of sales; so I was able to get what I needed on a budget

Staff r shocking n change price while u paying at till Go on radio then ask if there sed the price that was on ticket there then lair n change all the tickets while u at till n make u out to be a lira

Not answering customer and there phone despicable. They should be fired from the job if they are not answering the phone. They should answer the phone because it’s their job to only wondering if they got the glow berry prime and I do not even answering that is all I need to say

Staff are so rude, when asking for something or advice they wouldn’t even look at me and had an attitude. When we was waiting at the till we had to repeat ourself all the time and was faced with a moody face and didn’t apologise for the wait or even explain we had to wait and started doing other jobs while we waited. Staff need telling about manners and how to act around customers. Shocking!

Was in today at 4.30pm-ish. The man on the men's shoes was helpful but the young lass on the till had such an attitude and didn't crack even a hint of a smile once. She actually hurt my hand the way she violently swung the shoe box round to scan the barcode, but seconds later she hurt her finger (which she was far more interested in than finishing serving me) so I call that karma for being so awful. Doubt I'll return.
