I have always felt skeptical with garages I've used in the past due to not having much mechanical knowledge and always felt a bit taken advantage of. This couldn't be further from the truth with Peverell garage from the minute I walked in I felt welcome and at ease. This is by far the best garage I have used and I am always happy to bring my car back to them when needed. The team really went above and beyond to assure and explain to me with the work they were doing and they made pick ups and drop offs super convenient with my busy schedule. I 100% recommend using this garage especially if you're someone like me who doesn't know much about cars. Thank you to the team for the great service.

Friendly reception staff and convenient central location for MOTs. However, I did find they overcharge for repairs. When my car failed its MOT, I was able to get the remedial work done at half the price they quoted me. It's also worth checking through any quote you are given, as I did note the £60 quoted on my estimate for 'wheel alignment' - a bit steep. Especially considering it didn't need doing, and I hadn't asked for it.

Great service all round. Booked in for a service very swiftly, they also checked out an issue I had with steering / suspension after I mentioned it when dropping off the van. Minimal charge for the extra work, very happy with the level of service and work carried out. Will definitely use Peverell Garage again

This garage in my opinion and experience overcharges, fits sub standard components and is even dangerous.A few years ago they provided a quote for a new compressor for the aircon which was about £200 more than good quality online ones with 1 year longer warranty than they were offering. But said would only fit there parts and then said but it would take 2 weeks to get it. As I needed the car in between I asked that they return it which they did on Friday evening. I used the car Saturday to take my dogs and son out. After about 20 minutes, while driving on a dual carriage way a critical warning, engine failure, brake failure, steering failure appeared on the dash and the Car lost all power. So I lost power steering and brakes, the engine cut out and the car was still travelling at about 40 mph. Need less to say it was a pretty scary experience and all of use were lucky not to have been injured or worse. I managed to get the car off the dual carriage way and called the garage. It was Saturday and no one answered, so I called the AA and some 2 hours later they arrived and diagnosed that the alternator was not working correctly then got us back to my home. The garage admitted that they had not correctly connected back the alternator when they returned the car.Since then they have fitted an exhaust part that does not fit correctly and bangs against the chassis and yesterday failed the car MOT saying it needed new disks and pads £800, an investigation into a headlight leak £90 and if new headlight needed £450 plus labour and an investigation into an emissions failure £90. I phoned another garage and they quoted me £180 for the front disks and pads fitted, £300 for both front and rear.So I picked the car up today paid for the MOT and have arranged for a more reasonable and safe garage to look after my car in the future. Also noticed when I looked at the MOT today that the car did not even fail on the disks and pads it was only an advisory!!! Will never use this garage again and suggest you don't.

Friendly, straightforward and reputable. Everyone is helpful and any problems are explained clearly, with no pressure or hard sell. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them!
