Amazing place where you can just soak into some local history. Peaceful and quiet. Equipped with whatever you may need and more. Quite chilly inside on a cold night, but has a wood burner.

This is the best bunkhouse I have ever stayed in, and definitely the place I look forward to returning to visit the most. The owners, John & Izzy have made me so welcome evertime I've stayed here. Spotlessly clean, superb decor, comfy snug with log fire, well equipped kitchen, modern bathroom, and the most comfy beds too. Overall, the Poorhouse is amazing, and I'll definitely be going back, as long as its open. Thank you John & Izzy.

Stayed here on recent John O'Groat's to Land's End bicycle trip. The owners were very welcoming and the bunkhouse is fantastic with excellent facilities. Superb value and would definitely recommend.
