Wonderful independent little bike shop. Jeff is very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. He is open about the prices and different quality of components. And I really appreciated that he answered all my questions and showed different options without pushing you to buy something. Very happy with my new bike.

Friendly, helpful and efficient will definitely come back when my bike needs further work or a service.

Excellent service. Responded to emails quickly. Did a really excellent job on my old bike. Was transparent throughout with the cost of materials and labour (which ended up being very reasonable). My bike now runs like a new bike. Highly recommend.

Exceptional service, quick and at good price! I handed in my road bike to have chain and cassette replaced without booking an appointment. It was ready within a day, I was notified immediately and am very happy with the repair/replacement. Huge thank you to Life on a Bike for this great experience.

Excellent service.My advice is before you walk in anywhere else go to this shop he is absolutely amazing and honest!This is what happened to me: My handlebar was lose I took it in this shop. Elsewhere they said it's a manufacturers fault because the stem is too small I need to change it which would have cost me so much time trying to chase the manufacturer down etc and at least £30. I walked in with my bike to Life on a bike and he was amazing I told him what was going on.He took one look at my bike and said 'that is the right fitting' got his magic tool out and tightened it up. He was very polite he hasn't said anything badabout the other bike company I walked in before his.My advice is before you walk in anywhere else go to this shop he is absolutely amazing and honest!

Got my bike for a general service check. My bike runs now smoother than ever before, truly feels like a new bike! Gear switching effortlessly and honestly it feels like flying not cycling. Jef is knowledgeable and polite and everything is reasonably priced. I don't see me going anywhere else. Thank you!

30/5/23. Very happy with bike repair service. I had asked for a quote on repairing my bike at a central Cambridge retailer (who shall remain nameless) and was told £300. I am a student and can't afford that. Here, I paid just under £130 including a handy bottle of bike oil.Clean, ordered, independent bike shop with confident and friendly customer service. The five-star rating doesn't lie and it's worth perhaps travelling a bit out of town to go here.

What a fantastic shop. In these days of chain stores it is refreshing to find an independent bicycle seller of this high standard. The quality of the bikes are second to none and the owner was so helpful. I was quite a fussy customer on a time limit as I had the school run to do and he was kind and patient, getting my bike ready for me very quickly without making me feel as though I was being a nuisance. (Which I undoubtedly was!) I absolutely love my beautiful new bike and would thoroughly recommend this wonderful shop.

Excellent service and super reasonably priced! I left my gravel bike with Jef for some adjustments and it was ready for pickup within a few hours. He also gave me some tips for where to find good paths and gravel since I’m new in town. Thanks so much for the friendly service!
