Alyse Baker Artistry Hair & Makeup

Alyse did mine, my mums and my bridesmaid makeup for my wedding on the 23rd October and she made us look and feel SENSATIONAL. Alyse also helped to create a relaxing and stress free morning in the hotel we were staying in, even when I got lipstick on my dress 5 minutes before leaving! I have never felt so beautiful, something I don’t usually feel and that’s thanks to Alyse.It was amazing how I didn’t feel like I was wearing lots of makeup and felt like myself. Both my bridesmaid said it was the best makeup they had ever had and we all looked amazing after many hours on the dance floor. I was sad to take it off. My mum also who has never worn makeup loved it and said she felt the best she has ever felt. Alyse did one of my bridesmaid hair and it looked stunning and held all day. Whist I did my own hair she was still happy to assist and give professional advise which I really appreciated.Alyse is a true professional but also great to have around the morning that’s usually full of nerves. Such a lovely person from the moment I enquired to even after the wedding. I will be in touch if I ever need my makeup doing for an event. I think I found Alyse through Instagram because I wanted someone who would do a really natural looking makeup look for my quick town hall wedding in July 2023. She is also located in SE London so it made scheduling our meetings and working together really easy. Alyse immediately put me at ease and I knew from our trial run that I had chosen a great hair and makeup artist for the big day. She did a beautiful low bun style with a side braid. And my makeup was just perfect. She listened to everything I wanted with the look and I'm so happy with how everything turned out. I felt like the best looking version of myself and that is in no small part due to her artistry and skill. I'll gladly be working with her again for our larger reception in 2024!

Alyse is an incredible make up artist. I first met her at our venue's wedding fair and after talking to her for a few minutes and looking at photos of brides I was sold. I don't wear much make up day to day so I really wanted a natural look but one that stood out in photos and I knew Alyse could deliver this.My trial was great, she spent so much time with me and I was so happy with my make up I didn't need another trial.On my wedding morning, Alyse also did my two bridesmaids, mother of the bride and mother of the groom make up and they were all so happy with it.Alyse is super chilled and really easy to talk to which made the morning so easy and relaxing - exactly what you need on your wedding day.I was so pleased with my wedding day make up - so many people commented on my make up and said that it was great how I still looked so like myself but just more glam! It was the hottest day ever on the day (30 odd degrees), and my make up lasted the whole day. She gave me a touch up kit which I barely even needed.I would highly recommend having Alyse as your make-up artist - you won't regret it.

Alyse did my wedding makeup and I couldn’t have been happier! She did a makeup trial a few months before the wedding and remembered everything we’d decided. She was professional and stayed in touch so I knew I had nothing to worry about. She had a very calming presence on my wedding morning, it’s very personable and chatty and took everything in her stride. My sister, mum and mother-in-law also couldn’t fault her. She even gave me a little touch up kit for later in the day. Couldn’t recommend more highly, thanks so much Alyse!
