We recently had an Iroko driveway and single gate installed by A1. From the outset, Derek, our installer, gave the job a lot of thought and communicated really well with us. He went that 'extra mile' with his attention to detail. We would like to mention Paul at A1. We visited Paul on 2 or 3 occasions planning our gates, his patience and technical knowledge guided us to choose exactly what we wanted. Very pleased with product and installation.

We wanted a quality, strong and robust fence and know that in the long term it will save money.A1 operate in this niche and I recommend them for a quality job professionally installed.

I had an issue with the entry gates to my property. I talked with Scott, who asked me a number of pertinent questions to gain a detailed understanding of the root cause of the problem, and gave me several very helpful tips as to how I could possibly resolve the problem without having a call-out.The issue was more in-depth, therefore I requested Scott to arrange a visit to my premises. That was done without fuss, and Mark came to the premises the next day.Mark was superb. Working from the details provided to him by Scott, he had worked out the probable root cause, and how to fix the problem. He explained every stage of the work he was carrying out, showed me how to deal with any minor issues that may arise in future, and critically he resolved the problem.Mark and Scott both demonstrated excellent customer care, plus a detailed professional knowledge of the system I have for my gates.Overall, an excellent experience, and true value for money. I would recommend AI without hesitation.

Had a quote for a 12 meter long garden fence.The quoting part was quick and punctual for the visit hence 2 stars.The issue came with the horrendously expensive quotation.It was over 3 and a half times higher than the cost of two other identical quotations. I was flabbergasted and disappointed and couldn’t believe how much more A1 think they can charge customers when the cost of living is biting everyone.I did give A1 a call to understand the phenomenal difference in case the quote was incorrectly written. The response was poor to say the least with laughing from A1 at my question. I understand that different companies do charge slightly more or less. But this was just unbelievable. I did have that fence replaced by the other company and indeed had the other company replace the shorter one, so both cheaper quotes received work and payment from me. I received two great fences with a decent 2 week holiday with the money I saved by doing two instead of one.Come on A1 there’s no justification why your prices are so much higher than other contractors in the area.

You might like to note that we are very pleased with the job and it's the first time that I can not find fault with the workmanship. Dave, Lee and Stefan were very professional. Excellent work.I say this because my Dad did everything and I used to help him out in my younger days. He was Jack of all trades" but a cabinet maker. He always used to point out bad workmanship to me."

Have known & used them for a number of years for our industrial estates gate maintenance, repair & supply.All the staff have always been polite, reasonable, helpfull & care about the task at hand.

Company very, professional, helpful and friendly. Initially we we contacted A1 for advice on a system we inherited, from previous homeowner which did not work.. A big shout out to Scott, who recently worked with us and came up with a wireless device which has made the use of the electronic gates easier for us to operate. Like most new gadgets once it was up and running we had a query but, i have to say Scott came out and put it right and took the time to show us how to make the adjustment. He was very patient, polite and all with a smile. Also no call out fee. Many thanks and we would highly recommend this company.
