Avoid these printers. Anyone who insists on payment upfront has good reason - be suspicious! Whilst they did initially help sort out some landscape pages on the PDF they took three attempts to get the wording correct despite a very clear email and attachment stating exactly was was required on the front cover and spine. Apparently the email was too long and the clear instructions went unnoticed! My fault apparently! I nearly missed my deadline as the two day service turned into nearly two weeks. If they hadn't have been personally collected by me each time I would have missed the deadline. I requested a partial refund for the inconvenience and several wasted journeys but this was refused. As I say any decent printer would request payment upon satisfactory delivery of the finished product. I would certainly not recommend them.

I used this company to put together a leather bound photobook with an incredibly short timeframe request. Not only was it a superfast turnaround, it was a beautiful end product...it's great to work with a fourth generation family business... I highly recommended them.

The workmanship is top quality and would highly recommend them. Having worked in publishing for 15 years I have dealt with a lot of suppliers over the years and can safely say they are very knowledgeable and passionate about the work they produce.

Be very careful with this company.I had commissioned 50 Order of Service books to be printed for my wedding. After agreeing the quote, they kindly agreed to print one as a prototype to check for final errors for the cost of £100 deposit.After returning to them with the final corrections, they then said they are unable to do the work as staffing had changed and were unable to complete my work.Further, they tried to increase the original agreed quote for printing the front and back cover, something that was never agreed nor mentioned previously.I had to cancel due to them changing their quote and not agreeing to do the work despite deposit paid.They refunded my deposit but I am in the unfortunate position of not having the books I wanted in time for my wedding.A really negative experience and I certainly won't be using/recommending this company in future.

This was the worst experience I have ever had. Having made arrangements over the telephone to have my item bound on the same day, I arrived in the morning as arranged. As soon as I entered I was shouted at and accused of not making an appointment to have my item bound. Had I not been desperate that day, I would have certainly left at that point. The shouting and arguing continued and I was told I could no way have it done that day and it would cost me almost double the original agreed price. They seemed extremely offended that they had a customer and seemed to try their utmost to put me off ad make me feel uncomfortable. I was appalled at the unnecessary, unprovoked rude behavior of these people.I was marched up to see the manager. After he eventually acknowledged me, Ian, was just as discourteous as his employees.Whilst discussing my requirements for the binding, one of the members of staff came back up and started shouting at me, accusing me of telling the manager about his impolite behaviour whilst Ian just spectated. I have never encountered such bizarre behaviour from a business in my life. There are clearly some communication issues as the staff downstairs and the manager seem to blame each other for their incompetence.Unfortunately I had to return later that day to pick up my item. On arrival, Ian told an odd story about some people I knew using his service that day. That turned out to be a lie. Still not sure why a lie was necessary to add to the nightmare.The binding itself was a shoddy job. Very cheap and unprofessional looking in comparison to many others I saw following this.I will never use or wish to come into contact with these ignorant incompetent people ever again and strongly advise others not to as well.

Regarding the last review. - I don't usually respond to these reviews but really!The lady in question arrived in a state of distress and was in tears. That's not unusual. We see students on deadlines who have not slept for days on end and are quite frankly so stressed out with formatting issues its a wonder they even make it to our door at all. When this lady was introduced to me I made every effort to give her the service she required. My member of staff who dealt with her originally did not want to deal with her as she was being very argumentative and he wanted to devolve the situation to myself which he correctly did. When the lady returned to collect her work she was given every courtesy by myself and the lady indicated she was happy with the service.All I can say about this ladies review is if this is the 'worst experience' you have ever had you need to get out more. There are far worse things that will happen to you other than some bookbinders trying to help you with your project when you are stressed out! Have a nice day and I'm giving myself and my team 5 stars for putting up with this unpleasant lady.

I am very pleased with the results of my bespoke book. It was better than I expected and Bookbinders of London did a great job. The service was excellent and I had good communication with Debbie throughout the whole process. Highly recommended!
