Having joined HLP in Jan 2018, i can honestly say as a network, they are a breath of fresh air. Having been in the industry since 1993, I have been directly authorised, with an IFA network and until 2018, with a mortgage network for 11 years.HLP allow you to run your business as you chose, however, if you need advice or guidance from them, be it, marketing, compliance or to run past an idea they are there to help, and that is anyone at HLP right up to the directors.

I met with many networks when making the decision to set up my own firm. They all had their own positives however HLP really stood out. They came across as very forward thinking and embracing of the future. Ian took the time to understand my ambitions of creating a lifestyle business as apposed to a large firm, this was a breath of fresh air to me as many others did not seem to understand this choice.I attended the annual conference in Jan 2020 and I was blown away by the support and authenticity in the room. People genuinely cared for each other inside the network and it reinforced my choice of HLP.I am so happy to be a part of them and would recommend them to ANYONE looking to join a network!

When leaving the employed arena a little over two years ago, choosing the right network was an integral part of the setup of our business. After taking the time to review a number of options, HLP really stood out for us both.The simplicity of the systems, the product offering and the seamless integration from factfind to sourcing has made our jump so much easier. We are both really happy to be part of the team and look forward to growing along side HLP. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend the proposition to any advisor / mortgage business looking for a change.

Although my relationship with HLP is now coming to a close, I would highly recommend them to any other brokers that are AR's of perhaps other networks that are living in the past or maybe a DA firm that wants the ease of being regulated through a network. Good team, some great commercial terms and good systems. I anticipate the network will continue to grow providing they don't change the structure of the business too much. Not overbearing but there for support & also run some decent events/roadshows.

As a network you couldn't ask for more. The support from everyone from the top down is fantastic. I will never forget being with HLP for just 4 weeks and the Managaing Director, Shaun calling my mobile at 8am. He just wanted to see how my new business was getting on and how I was settling in- this type of personal approach is something you cannot underestimate. Technology is a big part of a lives, and we are always looking for ways to work smarter and not harder- HLP have made this pivitol to their approach with the systems available, the investment in new and upcoming applications/software, which in turn makes us better placed to help assist our clients in the most effiecient and professional way. I know I will not ever need or indeed want to move away from HLP and look forward to working with them on a foreseeable ongoing basis. Absolutely fantastic!

Since joining HLP I now know how a network should be run. Friendly, supportive, compliant, plenty of additional structured training and a robust financial mechanism that means I have peace of mind over my cashflow. This surely is the model others should adopt, the right blend of humanity and technology with value to it's members at its core. I can't recommend this network highly enough. If you've ever been let down by your network and want to feel safe and looked after, HLP is the home for you.

I, as Ashby Mortgages, have been with HLP since 2019 after a merge to MSN created 1 brand. I really have no reason to consider changing. The product availability and the technology is absolutely market leading. I feel part of a winning combination with an extremely strong mix of higher management. Shaun, the MD has been instrumental to the strength of my company's success and he takes a conscious effort to openly acknowledge & personally know every single member, no matter the size of the firm.

I cannot rate HLP highly enough. A sensible approach to compliance, they do not want to prevent you from doing business but will keep you safe. Modern Technology providing a greater and easier experience for your clients. Protection panel appears larger than most and premiums are not additionally loaded. But above all what makes HLP the best network in my eyes are the people, in particular the senior management team who will always take your calls and try and help whenever needed. If you are thinking of becoming an AR then you must consider HLP as an option, you will not be disappointed.

Originally I was with MSN (another network) which merged with HLP, and the transition was handled fantastically well. It is very easy to contact all the staff, and if they do not know the answer immediately, they get back to me promptly. Even though HLP have a lot of advisers, I do not feel like just another number. From compliance, to helping my business grow, regular roadshows and easy systems, I cannot rate HLP high enough.

I joined MSN in 2018 who then merged with HLP last year, having worked with 3 other networks previously, being part of HLP has been a breath of fresh air, the management team & compliance department are incredibly helpful and approachable. The business development events are always very well organised and informative. I've had no issues with the CRM & sourcing systems provided. I would urge any brokers who are looking to switch networks to speak to Shaun Almond to get a feel for the network - not perfect, but with perfect intentions!
