Dog friendly and accommodated 6.. Fantastic way to enjoy the Lakes. Boats are easy to manoeuvre and all the family had a great time having a go! 2 hours doesn’t get you to the end but certainly more than half way. The boat at full throttle was slightly noisy (petrol engine) but the views are stunning!.. Just be mindful of the Lake cruises but they do sound their horn. Highly recommended!..

Very lovely staff, couldn’t help us enough - showed us the controls and saw us back to the pier at the end of our trip. We only got an hour as we went late in the day, it was gorgeous and the views are fantastic however we did wish we could have done longer but that was our fault for leaving it so late. 100% recommend but like I say defiantly go for two hours over the one.

Beautiful Ullswater. Very peaceful, just a few passenger boats, hire boats, paddle boards.....I love rowing, and there's always been a rowing boat available when I get here...reasonably priced at £30 for 2 hours and £50 for 4 hours...2023 pricesTo be honest, 2 hours on my own is enough for me...And remember. It's a large lake and the wind sweeps up the valley. Make sure it's within your capabilities. If the wind is from the south, it'll take you longer to row back

Hired the boat after my hike, beautiful views, nice cafe by the pier, parking available.

LOVE this little spot on Ullswater! It's always (relatively!) quiet and has such a picturesque outlook. You can hire canoes and boats or simply just enjoy watching others messing about on the water. A former boatyard, there is now a lovely little tea shop above the boat hire, serving simple but delicious snacks.... just don't blame me if you're there in peak holiday season and can't get parked :)

Run by a lovely bloke, boats all in good order, we had a lovely 4hr trip around the lake as the weather stopped our planned hike.

Lovely experience. Booking online is fast and easy, and the prices are very reasonable. On the day, we were running late, however the staff kindly moved our booking time and made sure we still got to enjoy the full 2 hours. Appreciated that!Likewise, staff are friendly and helpful. They went through a quick safety and boat operation briefing and we were on our way.The boats themselves are spacious, and considering we were a group of 6 with 5 hefty adults and a child, it pulled effortlessly through the water. Just so easy to control and felt safe the whole way. Only suggestion would be, windows could do with a buff.Ullswater itself is just breath taking, and one of my favourites for boat hire. Its just so calm and a sharp contrast from busy Windermere.Free parking and cafe on site.Will certainly be back again.
