Seeing all the reviews and I didn't think it was going to be that bad.I had an appointment with Mrs Dipti Singh and I booked the appointment about 2 months ago to open a joint account. Everything was terrible, at first she prompted my husband to open an account on the App, I asked her why she didn't tell me beforehand since she previously called to confirm the appointment and she really didn't have a reasonable response.So my husband kept trying to open an account online and kept experiencing delays. So she decided she would try to fill in the information on her system and open it manually which was what we already expected in the first place, we gave her his passport and drivers license and she still filled out the information wrongly. We came in at 9;30 and left at around 11am and the whole process was a mess. I kept thinking we shouldn't haven't bothered. Overall slow and inefficient service. If I could do everything on the App, why would I go into the branch in the first place. I was going to report this to the branch Manager but you all have confirmed that the entire staff is bad and that's a huge reflection on the Manager.

Cash deposit machines inside never work, they are reluctant to take it by hand and over the counter. 24/7 deposit machine outside never works. Drive all that way to put money in and you can’t. As a cash in hand self employed barber this isn’t helpful at all.

Another long wait for the counter. Far to long. Lunchtime and only two of four counter places staffed. There is a notice on the counter about paying in cheques, but it's bent in a way that means you can't read it unless you are already at the front of the queue. In addition the design of the space means I can hear banking conversation across the room. It's pretty rubbish all round. I've been stood here ten minutes already and moved one space.. 8 people ahead of me.

Walked in today 06-07-23 just before they were about to shut. Needed help with a bank transfer got the help I needed and was in and out in 10 minutes. Have to say lots of negative reviews, but I found them very helpful on this occasion, which was the first time I had been there for years. 5/5

Waited 50 mins to be served. Only 2 cashiers on out of a possible 4. 2 other members of staff were near the cashpoint machines inside. I did ask why one of them could not pop on as cashpoints not busy. The reply was we need 2 to prioritise the customers at the machines". Could not believe that all of us queuing past the queue area were not as important. If I did not have the breast cancer money to pay in I would have left.Alot of customers complaining about wait.Do not go to Barclays here. Bad customer service.Go to Nationwide further down. No queue and helpful cashier's."

The in-person services that we get from Barclays are now very poor and insufficient. It was acceptable during the Covid years but to maintain the same level of services provided during Covid years, for post Covid is poor. Particularly for an elderly and vulnerable person, who needs direct access to the bank and personnel, it is denied to them, the one day they can get there, which is today, it is closed for unforeseeable circumstances. Also, your opening hours from 9.30 am to 3 pm is a very short period of time. This does not give enough out of office time for a carer to take a vulnerable person to the bank. Feels like we are going back in time rather than making progress. This is really sad.

Opening hours are 9:30 to 15:00, imagine frustration of 9 to 5 working people. I suggest to extend hours till 5 pm atleast.

I visited the bank end June 23 to open the account, because i just moved to UK, they asked to go home and apply online to get reference number. i came back next day with reference number, and they said the earliest appointment is in Sep 23… so i went to HSBC next door!This is the best way Barclays to say don’t open the account with us!
