Cannot praise this facilitator enough, the perfect balance of leading without overtaking and encouraging effective debate without negativity

Thanks to Jose for supporting, my colleague Luke and I, to become Lead Trainers with Community Roots CIC and Community Organisers. Working with Jose was a pleasure, it was challenging, informative and educational. Alongside supporting us to become trainers we also had an incredibly valuable collaborative experience, we worked successfully together to adapt face to face workshops into an online training program. A great journey and outcome.

CoLab International Ltd is a well established Community organisation which supports the idea of working together, towards a mutual aim, leaving behind differences, something we'd probably practice more these days. José and his team are friendly, approachable, knowledgeable, great listeners, assertive!... Do recommend this place.

Jose was incredible as a facilitator. I loved the way he gave gentle but specific requirements for how we should behave towards each other in the sessions. He encouraged us to use open-minded listening and true listening ( ie not distracting our minds with worrying about our own agenda and what we were going to say next).He managed the group and timings well, by using simple but effective tactics such as his raising his hand and getting us all to raise our hand to signal the group needed to be quiet and let him introduce the next segment.I also liked his brief introduction about his own past. That immediately gave him deserved and genuine credibility about the topics we were discussing.All the above combined together to make Jose a powerful and effective facilitator.

Online training that was excellently delivered as a way to demonstrate excellence in online facilitation. Useful, practical, thought provoking - all underlined with consideration for appreciating and working with power differentials. Highly recommended for local authorities, for whom participation and co-production can often be an aspiration rather than a reality. Co Lab provided tools and principles to help make it happen.

Just completed a community organising training - online, which I initially thought would be harder to engage with, but was a really great experience, the team is super nice, very helpful, really approachable and made the whole training easier to participate in as well as a lot more fun, easy-going, and yet also very useful and productive! Thank you! Definitely recommend getting connected!
