Great walk through a very friendly wood. Paths throughout, not too difficult as mainly on flat level. Good circuit for runners or a healthy walk. Good for dog walking as dogs can run freely without fear of motor cycles or going onto road as it is enclosed. Also safe for children, except when it rains - quite muddy so don't forget their wellies. Small parking area for about 6 cars. No facilities near by so take any drinks etc but please remember to take rubbish home as there are no bins.

Beautiful evergreen forest. Dry, soft crunchy forest floor to walk upon. Small carpark located nearby and several trails. Will have to return! Joins up to the Newtyle rail walk.
