Came out to service my boiler, the day after it broke down and unfortunately they sent the same engineer out to look at it who was here for an hour and told me it couldn't be fixed and that I would need a new one because the filter needed to be changed and had allowed too much bad water to go in and it was irreparable. Before he came back out, it would still fire up and work enough for a quick shower, however by the time he left after his second visit it wouldn't even do that and I was told it would cost over £2000 to have a new one fitted. I complained to Shropshire Gas and they sent out a different engineer who was brilliant and fixed the boiler, it has now been working for a week. After my complaint, the problem was handled efficiently however I still do not agree that the first engineer should have been so quick to tell me I needed a new one when it was an easy fix. He is a very poor reflection on my overall dealings with Shropshire Gas but luckily the other engineers and Jim have changed my opinion on the company as a whole but not on the individual who took the mick originally and just couldn’t be bothered to fix it.Edited jan 2023 to add- since the “service” I have had nothing but issues with my boiler, it breaks regularly and has not been efficient on gas since and I’m spending a small fortune keeping it going. I am truly less than impressed with this company and will not be using them again.

They installed a boiler two years ago and recently came out to reset the timer because my mother didn't want the heating coming on at 9.00 in the evening. She wanted it coming on twice a day but to go off earlier . The heating now only comes on in the morning and she is unable to change it herself. To add to this the customer service assistant was rude and unhelpful. My mother is in her eighties, has difficulty hearing and I think the engineers and staff really should have more patience. She chose Shropshire Gas as it came highly recommended by a nephew but has been really disappointed with their service and is left without heat at the coldest time of the year. Also, they should invoice the elderly via the post not by phone.

Shropshire gas engineer came and serviced my boiler this morning. He was polite, friendly and professional. I have been a customer of Shropshire gas for 10+years and have just renewed my service care cover plan. Very trust worthy and professional company

I had cause to phone you on Friday last when an engineer, booked the previous day, to attend a non-working radiator failed to materialise. The young lady I spoke to swiftly arranged for an alternative engineer to attend within 20 minutes – yes 20 minutes! The engineer duly arrived, diagnosed the problem and had if resolved in a matter of a few minutes. He could not have been more helpful or polite.I have often observed that the true measure of company’s Customer Care can be judged by how they resolve any problem or difficulty – I must say that I was greatly impressed by your response and swift resolution of my problem.Congratulations and well done.

I received abuse from one of the drivers at Shropshire Gas on a roundabout in Shrewsbury. I had right of way and even let him out. He came back around to throw abuse at me. I HAD RIGHT OF WAY! It's all on dash cam if the boss would like to see. I hope he is nicer with his customers.

We have the annual service and cover with Shropshire Gas.Our upstairs heating stopped working. We rang at 9am on a Monday morning and the Engineer arrived at 9:12am and had fixed the issue by 9:40am. Amazing service!

Recently I contacted Shropshire Gas to see if they could service my gas fire, I had an immediate response from one of the Directors (Jim) who was very helpful. The engineer that was sent to service my fire was professional, helpful and courteous, to the extent that I felt so confident in their services I shall use them again when my fire / bask boiler/ heating system needs updated/ renewed.The work carried out was at a fair price and therefore I would highly recommend this company.

Fantastic service for my elderly parents who needed a new boiler fitting urgently. Jim and the team were brilliant, arranged an appointment quickly and came out on time to quote and managed to get a new one sorted within a couple of days for them.Very helpful, efficient and reliable as well as a very competitive price.Would definitely recommend and use again
