I ventured out to Berkshire recently and found two great courses, the first being Newbury & Crookham.Its clear we are moving into the depths of autumn, the trees are shedding their leaves and winter shoes are a must but happy to say N & C was in fantastic shape. The fairways were lush and clear and the greens were true. Its reasonably short but a great layout with some testing holes. No par 5s until the back 9 and many of the par 4s not requiring a driver made for a interesting course management. I played well which always helps in the enjoyment of a course but I would be confident had I not I would still have come away enjoying my round. Its a lovely course worth travelling as I did for the weekend to play.

Great course. A bit short at less than 6,000 yards but some great holes and greens in excellent condition

Excellent afternoon of golf. The pro shop were very welcoming as was the club house team and the members that we spoke to. The food was excellent. The pro shop kindly lent me a putter (left mine at home) - the putter clearly knew it’s way round the course!The weather - sunshine and blue skies really helped. Will certainly look to have a return visit.

A great golf course run by a fantastic team. I've been a member for a year now and as a high handicapper can't believe how welcoming everyone including other members are. Loads of comps to help you get better, tees and greens in great condition - can't comment on the fairways as rarely see them :)Great work all at N&Cp.s. They've just got a new caterer and the food is AMAZING! I may just forget about the golf and go for meals there instead!

Society day. We were well looked after on arrival and post round food was lovely.Despite heavy rain the day before and light rain on the day the course was in excellent condition and a good challenge.

Very pretty course, never boring, fast greens and great condition. We played it in May 2023 with our friends and truly enjoyed it. We cannot wait to come back. Thanks to friendly and welcoming staff (proshop, gardeners and bar!!).
