Hilton Bank Farm Shop

Visited Andrew Wade's Farm Shop at Hilton Bank Farm on Friday 19 February 2021 for the first time. We had been recommended to visit by a friend in Newport who was very impressed by the fresh vegetables and eggs on offer.We have passed the gate many times in the past decade travelling from Newport to Shifnal but never taken notice of Andrew Wade's as we usually travelled that route going to and back from the Newport Bridge Club when Wade's is closed. We were very impressed with the large car park alongside and opposite the Wade's shed.The shop has extra produce on shelves & tables outside the main shed. Today they had things like Turnips , Beetroot , Cauliflower and Bowls of Hyacinths outside. Then inside there is a large stand of boxed eggs or trays that you cannot select your own on a special offer price of £1.20 for six eggs. There are more vegetables, including bags of potatoes, and fruit such as apples all available.The payment is via an honesty box but a pay Pal link is also given on a poster on the wall.
