We ordered 600g ribeye and 600g sirloin for a Japanese Shabu Shabu meal at my house with a group of friends. I really appreciated that they were happy to cut the beef very thinly like we do in Japan. This meant we were able to cook it the way we wanted. The beef was very good quality and delicious.We enjoyed it very much. Andrei was very friendly and helpful.I recommend Cousins Butchers to everybody.

Cambridge Butchers Cousins
Would recommend Cousins for freshly baked steak pies (and cornish pasties or quiches). The steak pie was juicy, full of flavour, and beef pieces were tender. The shortcrust was also great - tender and not too thick. Portion was quite large, ate over a couple meals. Will be back for it in future.

Excellent quality meat and great service. We've been buying our meat from Cousins for several years now and won't buy from anywhere else. The team kept going all through the pandemic and really go the extra mile. I enjoy popping in on a Saturday morning for the friendly banter and to pick up our meat order. Can always rely on the team for special orders at Christmas & Easter. Many thanks to all.

By far the best source of meat in Cambridge, as well as quality veg and fruit. Always a wide variety of products, with great value for money sold by knowledgeable and helpful staff. Try their amazing chicken pies - you will never go back to the sad little ones in the grocery stores!

2019: The worst steak I have ever had. It was smelly to an unbearable level! I had two 500 g pieces of Rib Eye (it was on offer), and I was shocked that the quality was this bad. The staff were nice, and the price was reasonable. However, the hygiene is not the best. No gloves were used, and when one of the staff took the meat out of a bag, he cleaned it with a used and apparently unclean piece of cloth!It was a waste as I throw it away. Not recommended.UPDATE 2023: I happen to be living around the neighborhood and thought to give it another try. I had lamb this time. I can only say the lamb was beyond excellent, and the place seems to be quite clean although no gloves were used.
