Previously when I have visited for a meal I was impressed by the meal and portions and service. This time I was expecting more for my meal choice due to my experience. My meal choice was a Burger and it came with some chips….!!!! Not very impressed. A dry meal with no side salad or condiments and when we asked for dressings ( mayonnaise) it took an extra 10 mins! My work (colleagues 15 of us) had never been before and I did say how impressed I was In previous visits ( non Christmas) however I would not recommend booking for Christmas meals due to our experience and colleagues were not very impressed. I live locally so was ideal for me. I do appreciate the staff were busy and overwhelmed possibly. Yes they were polite. It is a shame that based on this experience we will probably never book again for a Christmas meal…!!!

Breakfast with santa. Breakfast was cold and child's breakfast was 1 little sausage slice bacon and spoon of beans, not even enough for a 3 year old. Present was a mini activity book and a chocolate. Drinks were cold. Santa was not very good and was awkward. Whole experience was not good. Would not recommend.

Visited tonight and had drinks and food with friends, there was a little hick up with the order but Enkle who was working sorted the issue out and delt with it professionally and would of done anything to help. The staff were great and polite the food was delicious, definitely worth a visit and will be back

Sept 2023 yet again another great meal . They have offers on with a smaller variety menu to choose from . You can get 1,2 or 3 courses before 4 pm slightly cheaper by £1.60 and one after 5 pm . Or you can have the whole menu to choose from for a little more cost . Friendly polite staff . Got busy as we were leaving.2023 Been back to this pub and went at an earlier time 5pm . The service was good . The food was great . Reasonable prices and friendly staff. Not to busy this time so gone up to 4 stars ⭐️3 ⭐️ in 2022 . review Very busy , food was good , we were going for a pudding and another drink . Waited at least 10 minutes to get served but walked out. Staff couldn’t keep up . Need more staff. The staff were still pleasant It was a Thursday night approximately 6 pm. They have outside areas in wooden booths. Big car park but I would go again but if car park busy I’ll go somewhere else .

Service was great. Accommodated us even though I thought I'd booked the festive meal but hadn't gone through.It was a little cold where we were sitting , but the heating came on as we were leaving .

Service was so slow even though it wasn't that busy. Visited on 14/03/2023 at 7pm. We arrived and were seated at our table, and then shortly after placed an order at the bar for drinks and mains. Mains took 50 minutes to come, we asked about them after 40 minutes and the helpful server went to find out where they had gone. Once the mains did come, they were overall good but the chips on a couple of the plates were cold. We then ordered desserts at the bar again, and we were waiting 30 minutes for desserts. When the desserts did come, we were told the wait for one of them would be 2 minutes longer - it actually took a further 10 minutes. The final dessert was soggy. We will not be returning, very disappointed.

Very long wait for our meals, hunters chicken was dry and bland and the rum stake was dry, hard and chewy. The lady on the next table was given a dirty glass. Very disappointed and will not go back.

Came tonight and don’t make a habit of leaving many reviews but tonight here there was clearly a little problem that left a few tables waiting for food. The staff were great and we just had a few drinks, they gave us a round on them and also sorted the food bill for us… Enkel was great. Food was too. Still left a tip. Credit where credit is due. We will be back :-)
