I had such a brilliant experience shopping at The Bride.I was really nervous as I have trouble finding dresses fitting my proportions & was worried I'd leave feeling disappointed - my experience couldn't have been more different!I knew the designer I was looking for prior to coming & the specific dress, but after having a great chat on the phone with Nikki before coming and then meeting her on the day, she put me at ease & found some other dresses to try on. She was so great at making me feel amazing, but was also really honest when certain styles suited me better than others. She in no way tried to sway me but let me voice my opinions first without trying to influence my decision. I ended up buying the dress that very day & felt fantastic!The fittings were also fun & all the team were great (even when I hadn't seen them since prior to the pandemic!) Rani the seamstress is also fantastic and did a brilliant job on the couple of alterations needed.Thanks again. I felt the best I've ever felt on my wedding day and that's because I was so comfortable in my dress and it was exactly what I'd wanted. The Bride understood what it was I was after and gave professional and friendly service from start to finish. 100% recommend

I found my perfect dress at the Bride! It wasn’t anything like what I thought I wanted – it was SO much better! Lyndsey & the team were so helpful in guiding me in the right direction, advising what would work well for me & even giving styling tips. From first appointment to final pick up, I had the most wonderful experience & I felt absolutely fantastic wearing my dream dress on the day. All of the staff at The Bride are fantastic, they made the whole experience from trying dresses and choosing the one through to fittings and collecting the dress a really enjoyable experience.Unlike other shops, the guidance wasn’t pushy and was aimed at helping find the right style and dress. I never felt pressured to make a decision or rush anything.I would thoroughly recommend The Bride and wish I could do it all over again!!

The Bride is a fantastic boutique wedding dress shop which did not disappoint! Throughout my three year (!) engagement they went above and beyond.When shopping for my wedding dress, I visited 8 shops and The Bride was my favourite by far. The dress I chose was in another of the shops I’d visited, but I chose The Bride because of their excellent personalised customer service.The team took account of my budget and were very discreet about this around my family I had brought with me to help me choose my dress.Lynsey, Nikki, Rani, Natalie and the rest of the team were amazing throughout. They helped me find the style of dress I liked, making lots of suggestions of things I had not thought would suit me. They were also very patient with my slow decision making! They were able to get hold of another dress which they did not stock in the boutique so that I could try all three finalists on together to make a confident decision.When the pandemic hit, I was so stressed and disorganised. The dress was the one thing I didn’t need to worry about, Lynsey offered to store the dress until our big day (which some of my fellow Coronabrides didn’t have the luxury of). Their emails and social media kept me excited for the big day and helped me to understand that it would arrive and be amazing.They booked me in easily and quickly around my work commitments for all my fittings. Of course, the dress fit me perfectly (thank you Rani!) and I felt so special on my wedding day wearing it. I was able to have a bustle fitted and a loop, so I could hold the dress up from the ground during the day and have the train tucked away in the evening.Lynsey and Niki also suggested a veil which went perfectly with my dress, and I chose some beautiful hair accessories by Miss Clemmie to compliment my look.Whilst I am pleased my husband and I are now finally married, I am honestly gutted I won’t get to visit this shop again.If you’re looking for a beautiful dress and to feel comfortable and special during all your fittings and on your wedding day, look no further than The Bride.

I would like to share my experience at The Bride. The team there are fantastic, and here's why...The Bride was the first shop I went into as I'd found a dress in a bridal magazine I wanted to try on. Lynsey gave me a Suzanne Neville dress which was exactly what I'd asked for - bardot and figure hugging. My family saw me in it and went WOW!!I went to one other shop after The Bride because my MIL had missed the first appt and I wanted to make sure she felt included. I didn't find any dresses I liked and simply, I noted that The Bride experience was total luxury, more than anything else.I couldn't stop thinking about the dress I'd tried on, so I went back. I was worried about taking up time from the team, but they were more than happy to let me come back and give it a go! I decided to take a skirt from one dress style and add it on to the bodice I liked. The team really helped me to create my vision! Lynsey, Nicki and Kate were super helpful and really creative with how we could make my dream dress come to life. I ended up changing the skirt and the bodice slightly so that it was my own. Doing their couture route meant the dress was made to me, which was really important because I'm very petite. Everyone said at the wedding how perfect the fit was and how insane my dress was! It fit me like a glove.Lynsey was also really patient when I had emailed at 10pm 2 months before the wedding because I had decided I'd like a veil. The next day we had designed and ordered it in store! She also helped me carry my dress and veil to my car when I picked them up!The team are so organised. Every appointment, fitting, schedule, design timeline, care, they know what they are doing - they are extremely knowledgeable and very experienced. Once I had decided on the dress, I didn't stress about it at all - the team did a fantastic job and knew everything that needed to be done. I'm very busy with my job so knowing this was in the perfect hands was so reassuring!They give you undivided attention which really matters! I knew every decision I was making with the team was the right one, because they know exactly what they are talking about and it makes so much difference. My dress decisions were super efficient thanks to this group of wonderful ladies. The seamstress there is also brilliant and extremely talented!Overall, if you would like the couture experience, with luxury, knowledge, expertise and dedication, please go here. I can’t thank The Bride in St Albans enough for all their help, guidance and support in getting my wedding dress. From the first meetings, through to the fittings and final adjustments from the wonderful Rani, everything done helped me to feel happy, relaxed and I truly got the wedding dress of my dreams. Enchanting day, enchanting dress. I could not have had a more perfect day, and Kate was a big reason why. She is fun and so lovely, and made the appointment feel like a chat with friends. I am so glad this charming bridal shop brought me to St. Albaan’s, which I wouldn’t have discovered otherwise. I ended up taking Kate’s suggestion to wander around St. Albaans Cathedral (home of Britain’s first saint) and had the best waffle breakfast near the mill. Truly magical, and I can’t wait to wear my reception dress. Thank you again, Kate! It is the dress of my dreams.
