I was looking for a particular kind of Gents ring which I could not find anywhere, I happened to find this jewellers in Chelmsford where I met Tim. I described what I wanted he designed it himself then sent off to be made. When it arrived I was chuffed! Highly recommend using this jewellers and Tim goes that extra mile to really help you with what you want!

I visited Alistair Stewart to get a ring reset that I hadn’t been happy with and the service was exceptional. Tim really listened to what I wanted and what I didn’t like about the setting I had, and made great alternative suggestions, ensuring I was really happy with the proposed finish. The price was competitive and the ring was returned quickly to me. The final result was amazing and I’m so happy I spoke to Tim at Alistair Stewart - I only wish I went there sooner. I went to Alistair Stewart on 5 August 2022 to get a sliver nankin ring hand engrave. They told to me it would be ready due back on 21 August. That suited me & Ideal for my grandsons christening. I didn't get it back until 10 October. So the nankin ring missed my grandsons christening. They put down to covid, rail strike and holidays. Very poor excuse

I have never had an issue with this jewellers in Chelmsford until the other day when I tried to get a watch battery replaced. I was told it would take 20 minutes and when I asked if it was okay to wait the woman who served me just looked at me and then said haven’t you got anything else you need to do. I said no and that I had a bad back and didn’t want to walk around for 20 minutes. She then just looked at me again as if I was beneath her and said it would cost £12.50. I took my watch back and told her I would go elsewhere. My mum then took it to another place in Chelmsford for me, it cost £7.95 and the staff didn’t have an issue with her waiting while it was done. I emailed Alistair Stewart complaining and I have heard nothing back, not even an apology. In the past I have been served in AS by male members of staff who have been very polite and then this woman the other day just let the side down very badly. Such a shame.

Could not recommend Alistair Stewart enough. We came in to find our wedding rings. We had visited a few other places but because my engagement ring is a sort of funny shape, we were unable to find anyone who could help us. Tim and the team worked so hard to get me exactly what I wanted. They worked with our budget, which was tight and went above and beyond to make a wedding band that fit perfectly with my engagement ring. From start to finish, with our first visit to the shop where Tim couldn’t have been more helpful and inviting to the finished product we were so happy! Would recommend over and over again!

Great customer service. I bought a Michel Herbelin watch from them a few years ago and recently the strap became loose. They fixed it on site for free. You would not get that from a national high street retailer. That's why I will always keep going back to them.

The service today from Tim was excellent. Would not hesitate to recommend. He totally understood what we wanted. Pricing was really competitive. Can’t wait to pick up our wedding rings!

Brilliant service. Replaced battery in my watch within 20 mins. Authorised brand retailer in the high street wanted £130 and needed to send it away for 4-6 weeks!
