Beautiful church, with interesting history. Former Poet Laureate, personality & TV presenter Sir John Betjeman is buried in the graveyard.

St Enodoc Church
Beautiful church set in a dip in the dunes a short walk from Daymer Bay.The building itself is quite quirky with its slightly wonky steeple and the fact that it sits in the middle of a golf course.Inside, there are handy guide boards and some beautiful stained glass windows. The graveyard contains the graves of poet John Betjeman, a seaman who died on the SS Armenia in 1915 and Fleur Benjamin, the first female firefighter to die on duty in peacetime Britain.Well worth a visit.

Such a beautiful/tranquil Church - last resting place of Sir John Betjeman. Sublime.

If you're passing through the area this 13th (!) century church is definitely worth a visit. Interesting history, well maintained grounds and peculiar gravemarkers.

Glorious little church, just back from the beach. The church used to be covered in sand. Very well cared for. Britain’s first female firefighter to die in the line of service - at 21 years old - rests here. Free entry to all.

Lovely little church with interesting history. Sat on bench outside to watch sunset. Inside just as pretty where you can purchase postcards of the church itself.

Post lockdown 3 ......our first taste of freedom! A day trip to Polzeath and Daymer bay next to the Camel estuary. And what a beautiful day it was with a stroll to St Enodoc church.... the most tranquil of settings. Slightly set back from the estuary with glorious views this church is unique having slowly sunk into the sand ! John Betjeman poet laureate is buried here. Both Polzeath and Daymer bay have beautiful beaches and if you stroll down to Rock then you can catch a ferry to Padstow....another delight. A wonderful enchanting corner of the north coast of Cornwall...

Beautiful old church, but don't follow your sat nav down the farmers track. The walk across the golf course is weird.
