Darren and James are brilliant instructors.Working with Darren more, he makes the class fun as well as teaching some life saving skills.I joined on my own and was made to feel very comfortable.If you're in two minds- definitely give it a try. With two days available a week to train classes are flexible.

I’ve been training with James in Krav Maga for a couple of years now, and still enjoying the lessons !As a 45 year old unfit desk jockey , I had some initial misgivings before coming along, but the friendly atmosphereof the club instructors and other club members soon persuaded me to keep training.You’ll learn realistic self-defence, that’ll give you the skills to protect yourself and your loved ones , andthe training will boost your fitness and confidence like you wouldn’t believe…. 

Krav Maga classes are certainly challenging but very gratifying at the end. The system developed by KMDA relies on training moves that are functionally connected into a whole. It may seem daunting at first but repetition develops instincts. And after doing it for some months I feel much more confident.

A friendly and inclusive club which offers excellent fitness and self-defence training in one of the most natural and easy to learn martial arts.

I've been regularly training at KMDA since 2011, and have gradually progressed through the ranks to the point where i`m now investing in Instructorship with James' club as part of Krav Maga Global (KMG).The quality of instruction, inclusiveness and camaraderie have kept me going all this time even when my enthusiasm in other things has waned. This is testament to the vibe of the club!The techniques and ethos are useable from day one, and differentiate this as a realistic self defence system, as opposed to a sport or martial art.When a class teaches you not to get into trouble in the first place, as opposed to finger clicking disarms of a knife wielding thug, you know you're in a sensible place.Your awareness and self-confidence, let alone your fitness, improves hugely and it very much teaches you to wake up and not be a victim, without instilling useless bravado or impractical techniques.Yes it is full contact, and occasionally there are bruises, but these are worn with pride. This is a welcoming club with a mutually supportive atmosphere--egos are checked at the door, everyone has fun and everyone goes home happy and usually knackered!Put it this way, my kids will be doing it too... :)

Great instructors; great atmosphere. Expect to work hard and pick up a few bruises from time to time.

Excellent training. Coaches are very down to earth, but really know their stuff and cater for everybody from beginner to expert. Were very welcoming to me and others I've recommended this place to.

As a middle aged fat bloke who has not trained for over a decade I wanted something that would teach me real life defence tactics...not patterns. James,Dan and the other members could not have helped me more. I love the classes and get a real sense of achievement after every lesson. Everyone learns at their own pace but you get to try different things every week while the basics are drilled into you too.Trust me, it took a lot to make me move away from the comfort of the biscuits and the sofa but I am so glad I did! What are you waiting for....?Kida!

Great classes run by best instructors. KM is the best martial arts ever gives you the fitness you need and prepares you for the worst that can happen out there.
