Today was my first visit to The Poachers Cottage. Staff were lovely, food was amazing. Prices for food and drinks were extremely reasonable and the coffee was lush. Highly recommended. I will be a regular at this lovely friendly establishment. It is so nice these days to feel you have had value for money. Thank you.

I went for lunch at the Poachers cottage today. I haven't been there for many years, I wasn't disappointed. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and great value for money.I was over the moon to discover they sell decafe coffee, as many pubs don't. It was delicious. The little mint chocolate served with the coffee was a lovely touch.I really enjoyed my visit and hope to be back again soon. Thank you so much!

Had a fabulous lunch today for 4 people. We all had something different from the menu and the food arrived at the same time, piping hot and very generous portions that tasted delicious!Washed down with a great selection of wine, beer and gin!Fabulous value for money and no compromise on quality of food and service.Lovely staff too!

Love a pub that has live bands on. The drinks are average priced for a pub.The staff are always lovely and friendly, and serve you quickly.Always enjoy our nights there.

First visit today for lunch. Place was very busy, and upbeat. A decent menu, quite varied , my dining partner and I plumped for the unsociable combo ,butterfly chicken breast with prawns in a creamy garlic sauce.Staff were very pleasant and helpful . Reasonable prices too. I would return.

On one of the reviews, it complained about the food and the decor. I totally agree. The party of 14 people all ordered that the same time. But the food was all over the place coming. The main meal started coming out before some haven't had their starter. The table and floor in the conservatory was filthy. Your arms stuck to the table. The children were running around with no shoes on. Then it was notice that they socks had the imprint of their feet from the dirt from the floor. This place need to get it act together and give it a dame good clean with hot water and detergent.

Came here for Father's day. The unpleasant woman on the door was handing out bottles of beer with it being father's day. My husband doesn't drink. No alternatives offered. Later I went over and asked if we could have a bottle as someone else I. The party could have it instead and was very rudely told 'no it's for father's only'. I find this wan very rude. What if you were two women or men parenting a child/children. Not everyone drinks or likes beer. The food is lovely but this Woman's attitude today spoiled my visit
