Awful people to rent through. Once they have your money, all you have is a mobile number they never answer. Good luck with these scammers.

With this company for 12 months and was left very disappointed. Poor communication from the agency and was unsupported throughout my year. Pay a high premium for an average property, poor management from Pillar Properties. Would not recommend to anyone.

I'm a busy business owner and needed a letting agent that could run and let the properties for me with very little input from myself. Their tenant selection has been great and the properties are well maintained. I would highly recommend.

the worst company, they never pick up the phone and I can already imagine why, sometimes I even wonder if those properties belong to them. You can't have so many properties and not answer the phone.

Contrary to the reviews before me, I had a great experience with Pillar.I’m not trying to mix things up, but you can’t take all reviews at face value.Stayed with them for 1.5yrs and they have been helpful, quick to respond and solve issues. No real fuss from them, and Ivan & team were always ready to help when it was needed. In regards to rent hikes, yes I did have one but it’s normal under current circumstances, and fyi was not near what the last review was quoting. It was reasonable.Overall, I would recommend Pillar. You get a lot of bad estate agents, but I don’t think these guys fit in that category. Thanks Pillar!

House & maintenance are okay. BUT management literally micromanaged us! I eventually hated living there because of their attitude towards us, because, they wanted us to treat the house like a hotel and only own bare minimum items. They made us all feel depressed as we were not comfortable in our own house… dont rent unless you’re looking for something temporary.

The worst letting agency I’ve ever rented through! Coming into the house whenever they want with no notice INCLUDING during covid isolation time when nobody could leave their homes, they would be doing trips between houses on the same day no mask no gloves! Treating tenants like children, not listening to the issues raised, looking through tenants’ cupboards in the kitchen with no permission to go through personal belongings, ignoring serious utility issues in the house, leaving 6 tenants without washing machine or dryer for over a month with an advise of “wash by hand”!!! Slamming every single door they walk through disregarding tenants’ right to quiet enjoyment, and what’s the funniest - throwing away tenants’ property without permission!!!!!! AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!! On top of that they proposed a rent increase of £125-150 a month!!! Absolute joke of an agency, unprofessional and rude, the handyman could do so much better if they at least watched YouTube videos of how to fix things! Useless!

I have been a tenant with pillar properties for almost four years now. They are by far the best agent in Reading that I have come across both as a tenant and from talking to peers.Firstly they are all very personable, approachable and friendly. It makes a big difference to have someone with a smile and calm nature turn up at your door if there is ever an issue. Although issues rarely occur as they maintain equipment and buildings in the highest order. There are actually two dedicated on site helpers (Justin and Ivan) to fix items and make sure everything is running smoothly. They actually proactively ask is everything okay in the house and is there anything we can do to help.Secondly the administrative team are excellent. Working with them is so easy. They let you know what has to happen, they send you the documentation and they turn things around so efficiently. They too are very polite and personable.All in all I would have no hesitation in recommending Pillar Properties to tenants or landlords. If you want to be a happy tenant, where you actually are cared for, then Pillar Properties is the place to be. For landlords if you want a well maintained house with contented tenants then again Pillar Properties is for you.
