We really enjoyed our stay here. Angela was so accommodating and went out of her way to ensure we had everything we needed (including a way to watch the England football match!!).We were greeted with tea and cake which was a lovely touch and really appreciated. The rooms were fresh and clean and the breakfast was amazing. The packed lunch was also great (especially the homemade brownie!!). The garden was also beautiful and all in a perfect location. We really hope to be back soon.

Been here in June 2023, together with my wife. A wonderfully beautiful B&B! We were welcomed with tea and cake by a very sweet and friendly hostess Angela Woods. Everything was perfectly arranged, a nice room and good bed and wonderful shower and clean bathroom. Had a brilliant stay and Angela was helpful in selecting a good Pub to eat in the evening. It was great and the breakfast was unbelievably good! Everything fresh and delicious, thank you Angela! If we go to the Yorkshiredales again, we will definitely come back to you in the B&B.

We had a lovely stay at West Winds Cottage. We were warmly greeted by Angela who offered us a choice of cakes and teas on our arrival. Paul and Angela cooked up some very tasty breakfasts, and we were pleased with the privacy and comfort of our room. Nice bathroom (note. bath only no shower available) and excellent location for a Buckden Pike hike or just walks along the river to Kettlewell or Starbotton. Located a stones throw from the Buck Inn - a great location.

Accommodation in the Dales is generally warm and friendly but Angela’s offering is truly excellent. Thoroughly enjoyed all aspects of our overnight stay

Fantastic overnight stopover on our Inn Way Walk last week. Great host, tea and cake on arrival, clean and comfortable room and the breakfast was excellent - as was the packed lunch provided for our walk the following day (with more cake). Would also recommend for longer stays to explore the local area, try it - you won't be disappointed! 5*

We had a wonderful stay at West Winds for a night on our Dales way walk. Angela was incredibly accommodating and welcoming after we had endured a very wet day of walking, she even helped to get some of our clothes dry for the next day. Lovely room, great breakfast and amazing brownies! Highly recommend and would definitely return.

We stayed at The West Winds Cottage B&B during our Dales Way journey. It's a couple minutes off the main path, but well worth it. Tucked behind the Buck Inn, the cottage is quaint, with a beautiful front garden.Angela (Angie), one of the proprietors, greeted us with a friendly smile, good conversation, and delicious tea and cakes. We stayed in the Tawny room (all the rooms are named after birds), which had sole use of the separate WC. The room was perfect for our needs, coming with 2 chairs, as well as tea/coffee, and a tin of shortbread! It also had a hairdryer, and extension cord, and places to hang our gear. The WC was beautiful, looked newly renovated, and the shower had great water pressure. Shampoos, conditioners and body were also provided.West Winds does not serve dinner (the Buck Inn immediately next door does), but provides an amazing breakfast, and offers a packed lunch option at an extra charge (reasonably). Both can be selected via order form the evening prior. The options for both are varied, and respectful of dietary restrictions. Angie's grilled tomatoes in her full Yorkshire breakfast were the best on the route, and her cheddar and chutney sandwiches hit the spot when we were enjoying the views on the Cam High Road. She uses her own chickens' eggs for the brekkie, and many herbs come from her garden as well.We really appreciated our stay here; it was so cozy and hospitable, and speaking to Angie was like chatting with an old friend- we felt so at ease.

Fantastic location in the Yorkshire Dales with plenty of lovely walks straight from the door. Angela was a perfect host. Met with tea and delicious cakes on arrival. Great vegetarian breakfast. The whole house was spotlessly clean with plenty of hand sanitiser. Felt like a really safe place to stay.
